If the only thing you needed to beat someone on Scathach's level was "lol I fly away from your spears gg" then I doubt she would've acquired this much fame (and aforementioned title of Godslayer) in the first place.
Trouble is for all the hype they've built up around her she's gotten next to no story feats beyond dispensing advice and jobbing to Cu Alter. Hopefully she'll actually have some screentime in Linkyeah right
Not everyone can fly and warp like Ishtar does and not everyone has the same level of firepower that Ishtar has The amount of Servants who can actually fly is incredibly low. In-universe she's treated like a Big Deal though, that's what I'm getting at. Hell, her entire character when summoned in Chaldea is basically "Man I wish someone was strong enough to kill me".

Hype does not translate into actual feats. There are many hyped characters and only a handful of them actually shows some feats worthy of the hype, the rest be like nah we'r just here acting like a lurking villain in the background. Wait until she actually beat some named divine spirit outside of her realm and Western Europe then you can use it as something. And like I already told you several pages ago, her godslayer hype you were talking about is already turned into a skill with effect being adding a plus correction to her attacks against divine. It doesn't do anything if she can't hit the target.
Not really. A lot of Gods existed before humanity since many were aliens. Also there's a difference between bonafide Gods and Divine Spirits. Divine Spirits are to Gods as Heroic Spirits are to living humans.

There are countless nameless pagan gods. Back in the AoG gods are litereally everywhere, they are the world. Anything, any concept has a god. Even toilets and sewers have gods.
Maybe the God that she beat was the God of Jobbing.
The scene itself was badly-written, but it's not as if Scáthach losing to Cú Chulainn Alter is an indicator of her being weak. Cú Chulainn is already a top-tier Heroic Spirit, his Alter version was greatly empowered by the Grail, and even then he only won because he took her by surprise by using an ability he never had while alive. I'm not saying she's necessarily going to defeat Ishtar, but we shouldn't discount her as just hype.
No one denying that Scathach has hype and she is powerful. We're not even talking about her jobbing to Cu. What I were saying is that in a versus thread we should only take actual feats and stats into account. Just because you have insane hype doesn't mean all of your abilities are shown in the stories. Like I already said both Ishtar and Scathach have a huge vague zone in their abilities (Authorities for Ishtar and runes/abyss skills of Scathach). Hype doesn't mean anything when we yet to see actual feats. It's like saying Amaterasu will fodderlize all ancient gods because her powerlevel is higher than full-power Titan Sefar - the one who whooped their asses - despite not knowing anything about her combat abilities. Like, no.
The point here is that hype does not translate into feats and any non-joke argument saying "but this character has insane hype he/she should be able to beat this other character" to me is ridiculous.

Eh, I think all characters suffer from "vagueness" at least to some extent. For instance, we know that "regular" Cú Chulainn can use runes to create a barrier capable of blocking "a strong Noble Phantasm" - but what the heck is a "strong Noble Phantasm"? I imagine it wouldn't stop an Excaliblast or an Enuma Elish, but would it stop a Broken Phantasm Caladbolg II? We don't know, but shouldn't we try to infer?
Speaking of inferring and BPCII: Caster!Cú Chulainn can send it to another dimension while within his territory by using a copy of Scáthach's Gate of Skye (though it seems to be of the same level of quality as the original). Couldn't Scáthach attempt to do the same against Ishtar's Venus-missile?
Might be possible, as Quetz kinda wanted to play baseball with it. But Quetz is super OP in her own ways already.
