So, Atalante Alter vs Beowulf. Who wins?
Depends on too many factors, I'd say. If the fight starts or gets within melee range, I'd say Beowulf. If Atalante successfully maintains her distance throughout the fight, I'd say she wins.
I dont know how fast Beo is, but I'd say its hard to catch up to Atalante. I'd put the odds in her favor
True. Then again, if they're fighting in a place where she can't run at full speed, he might catch up to her.
I'd give it to Beowulf really, especially when she has her pelt on.

Currently (like, actually) finishing Apocrypha 3
Atalalter still has and uses Tauropolos. I'd say she's at least not insane enough to go into melee with Beowulf if she doesn't have to.

As for who actually wins, it really does depend on where they're fighting.

Actually, what's Atalante Alter's Noble Phantasm? Is it still Phoebus Catastrophe?

She can still use Phoebus, though, and it's apparently more powerful than it usually is.

Mordred versus Carissa (A Certain Magical Index)
Carissa got punched out like a bitch by Saint-projectile Touma, a little reality warping ain't gonna put her on Heroic Spirit tier.

Though she probably wins on the general assets department, heh heh heh.

Carissa held her own against Kanzaki and Acqua at the same time, both of whom are casually supersonic. She also survived a magical bombardment and bunker buster missile exploding around her with only a few scratches. I'd say she displays physical feats more than equal to at least a mid-tier Servant. As for how she got wrecked so easily by Touma's punch, Touma had already destroyed Curtana at that point which Carissa was likely using to reinforce her physical abilities (given Knight Leader's mention that the wielder of the sword is on par with an Archangel in Britain). Otherwise it's a blatant contradiction for her to survive ridiculously powerful physical and magical attacks only to get taken out by a perfectly ordinary punch.

It's been a long time since I read those volumes, but even if we assume for expediency's sake that she gets Saint-tier physical abilities in Britain, a) you didn't specify if they're fighting in Britain and b) she still utterly pales in skill before an HS.

For the sake of the versus Carissa is definitely in Britain and has Curtana. For your "skill" point, again, she's strong and skilled enough to go toe-to-toe with Acqua, Kanzaki and Knight Leader simultaneously (though to be fair Knight Leader was severely gimped because he was deprived of Curtana's blessing), all extremely skilled fighters with plenty of combat experience under their belts. Also, I can't recall if it was clearly stated, but doesn't Carissa have military experience? Her title is the "princess of war" after all, and part of the novel explaining her plan mentions she'd carried a sword on the battlefield in the past.
Mind you, I'm still not saying she's HS-tier. Heroic Spirits are like the best humanity has to offer so probably not, but at the very least I'd think she's good enough to put up somewhat of a fight.Originally Posted by A Certain Magical Index Volume 18
