Seeing how Gilgamesh turned out in the recent film, as well as in HF has me wondering.
Does he have any proper means of defeating the Shadow himself? Or is Ea his only real resort if he hopes to survive?

All he did was toss random weapons at her, it's not as if she's invincible. He has anti-regen weapons to stop her coming back, he has space-warping ones to get past the Shadow, he has magic-breaking ones, he probably has a few specifically designed to combat foes stronger than their wielder, et cetera.

And even with his conventional method, he also didn't follow Thanos's advice to go for the head.
That and technically he could always go to the greater grail and just break it too.
But yeah, Gil can definitely take it down. He just doesn’t bother taking any proper measures and did a sloppy job.

The titan can be destroyed by simple raw power.As far as I remember Slash Emperor is supposed to be purely raw power.Excalibur beam gets bigger the more energy you put in it.It's the same for Slash Emperor which gets bigger by absorbing True Ether from the environment and smacks the enemy with raw power.Nero calling herself Slash Emperor after destroying Velber in Extella is another hint for Ado Edem being able to destroy Sefar.I mean this is the thing which destroyed multiple Types.It would easily be able to kill Altera and that's why I excluded it.
I think Notes still has a chance if true magic can affect Sefar.

Nope. It's "pure magic energy" (that can be called life force itself) that is effective (despite also being mostly absorbed). Zangeki Koutei isn't made out of pure magic energy

I don't think that would be the case, after all the gods it fought in the AoG should be rocking magic of the AoG lost to her.I think Notes still has a chance if true magic can affect Sefar.

Which Sefar? Because Sefar at the height of her powers defeated whole pantheons, but the one we fight in Extella is defeated by the Regalia-empowered Nero and Tamamo.

I guess she could probably get around Robin's invisibility by using Phoebus Catastrophe and just filling the whole battlefield with arrows, insuring that some of them hit him even if she can't pin down where he is.
Plus her high mobility (especially in forested areas) would probably let her evade any traps Robin would try to set. Fair enough, though given how tricky Robin is I wouldn't be surprised if he could win in some clever way, like hiding somewhere while she rains arrows over the battlefield and then attacking from her blind spot with Yew Bow. But in general I agree Atalante would have the advantage.
