Is it weird to feel a little saddened as an Arc fan that everytime I come here looking for discussions so I can gauge her standing I always find someone making a fool of themselves or arguing about her?

If prime zouken was equal to 10 Gordolfs and could fight servants, wouldnt Darnic also be in that category?

I say that because all the Red Masters are notted to be hardened combat oriented veterans and the material book says that even if all of them teamed up against Darnic, that they probably wouldnt win.


Also, is Zouken being good at swordsmanship a joke or is that an actual thing?

It's a joke, there was a line when Kojiro was being eaten from the inside by Hassan that basically went "He was killed, cut down in a moment without even a chance to defend himself", and somebody joked that wow, Zouken must be a master if Kojiro didn't even stand a chance.

Darnic's hyped up but let's be honest he doesn't actually do anything.

I also would say he's quite a bit below Zouken, going off what we know of the two and the fact that Darnic seems to more have the accomplishment of surviving Zouken rather than fighting Zouken.

Zouken the swordmaster is a joke but it's a joke I'll carry to the grave.

I thought everyone thought the Zouken = master swordsman thing was a joke, but then the London singularity came around and it turned out he really was an outrageous badass who could take on Servants by himself or something.

He was fending off Rin and Archer without being pressed too hard by himself. He only brought out the Medea corpse when Shirou and Saber came in too.

its a mix of him being very strong and servants being the type of thing he does best against since they’re familiars and ghosts.

True but that was Darnic from 60 years in the past. The man probably went through a serious anime timeskip.

All jokes aside, i dont think he was even a clock tower lecturer back then. Young Darnic is the one that fought Zouken. Darnic focuses a lot on self-improvement. He probably got much stronger in 60 years

The way it is written it seems more along the lines "yeah he can keep up with them on average and can win if stuff goes his way" (which to be fair, you could ascribe such favourable situations as ranging from outright plot armour to having to fight in a graveyard and using tombstones for cover, if FSN is anything to go by)

Does he mean that prides are level 70 and Grands would be like 100 or that each rank requires you to reach level 100 to move up to level 1 of the rank above?
