Can swordbeam even act as a counter? It's proto form I think but from how it's phrase it doesn't seem like a swordbeam other then that's how it looks. As for Heavenly Eye thats depends if the possibility of an opening is there. Whether or not Hektor would have one given his nature I don't know.

Think of it like this. Imperial Privilege is skill that allows you to do stuff simply because you say you can. So if you find a sunken boat and say "this is my boat, it should do as I say" it will do just that. If anything Nero probably copied a Voyage skill to control the boat without crew and being at the wheel which is what you find Drake doing with her own ships. If Drake can do it so can Nero or that's probably what she thought.

Okay, that got a chuckle out of me.
I am still curious to know how they'd do in a serious fight though. Thanos with four Infinity Stones is certainly OP, but not so much that a bunch of the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy (plus Spider-Man and Strange) couldn't give him for a run of his money. I'd say Gil would have a fair shot assuming he fights smartly, rather than just bombarding Thanos with projectiles from GOB (since Thanos is more than capable of matching the Gate in raw firepower).

Movie Thanos was kind of a chump. I mean, one second you have him altering reality on a massive scale like no big deal and turning the Guardians to lego, then the next you have him need to close his hand and concentrate to fire a simple random power blast. Going by the powers he SHOULD have with four of the Infinity Stones, he definitely can beat Gil (unless Gil starts busting out anti-reality warping NP's and whatnot). I haven't read any of the stories he's featured in, but comic book Thanos probably stomps.
