Fergus is supposed to be the Irish Saber, but then Cu is supposed to be the Irish Hercules so YMMV on that one.
To interject on the previous fight (Lobo vs Cu) however, Lobo has high speed and invisibility, Cu has Battle Continuation and Disengage, and both have pretty survival instincts, so I'd say signs point to their battle being "inconclusive". If Cu doesn't manage to oneshot Lobo with surprise Gae Bolg, neither of them is equipped to corner the other and both of them are capable of withstanding large amounts of battle damage before losing combat strength. So my view of the fight is, they clash, use their NP's, and if one of them survives the other is probably in no shape to chase them down.
In a cage match tho, yeah, Cu would take it.

I just pointed out that just like Cu doesn't really live up to Herc's hype, Fergus probably doesn't live up to Saber's either.

It’s worth noting that according to nasu at full power cu should be about equal to herc or arturia
TBF it’s not clear if that still holds up with extra and GO not changing up his stats or power much however
