We'll have to disagree on that one. The key characteristic of love, what sets it aparts from other emotions/connections, is that it's blind. You don't get a say in who you love, and while the fact that you love itself can change you (as, again, it did Jeanne in Apocrypha),the object doesn't.

Kind of. But who you're in love with does influence the direction it takes, whether it remains sweet or turns destructive, and many other things. So the truth is somewhere in between. Love itself is blind, but the object does influence its ultimate trajectory and where you end up due to it.

Love is "blind" in the sense that it's generally outside of conscious control, not that it's completely unrelated to who you are as a person. There's a lot more to "you" than what you're consciously aware of, after all.

I personally friendship Rin, Shirou, and Saber. Those three are best team, with Rin and Shirou as the couple and Saber as the comfortable mutual friend and possible godparent in absentia.
