This is true and ought not to be condoned in concern to real people and real emotions, yes, agreed.

Still fitting for Avenger to capitalize on it, both for in-character reasons and narrative reasons, though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Are Avenger & Shirou aware of each other as waiters, considering what that drunken student in the beginning was saying about the cafe waiter?

As for Laeticia being more active at night, what is that about? Something related to Jeanne in some way?

When I first read that and the waiter, for some reason I thought he was going to be a DA.

The conceit of my logic went as follows:
    >Grail Wars are fought at night
    >Ruler was most active at night because of this
    >Ergo, a very benign side effect of the possession is that Laeticia has faint trace muscle memory and gets stir crazy at night.

Are Avenger & Shirou aware of each other as waiters, considering what that drunken student in the beginning was saying about the cafe waiter?
I'll leave that up to the imagination for now.

When I first read that and the waiter, for some reason I thought he was going to be a DA.
I did happen to draw inspiration from dangerous, seductive men such as Count Dracula for this, so that's a fitting observation.

You're oversimplifying the relationship between fiction and our worldview. It's less a one-to-one correspondence and more of a slow, steady erection* over time. You can probably see how a mentality that the woman wants sex even if she's actually saying "no" can be a part of the incidence of, say, date rapes.

While I understand that's not your intent, it feels like you're coming dangerously close to excusing real life sex crimes here. Polls and statistics show that most rapists aren't innocently deceived as to whether the victim consents are not; they're repeat offenders who know what they're doing is wrong and just don't care. Blaming mass media for the crimes of some twisted individuals (like Ted Bundy did for his serial rapes and murders) is playing right into their hands.

Even granting that such media can influence people to hold pernicious ideas of sexuality, the solution is never to suppress the media in question but rather to educate people on healthier ideas of sexuality. There'll always be media saying problematic things and people vulnerable to those problematic things. If your solution relies on shielding people from harmful messages rather than inoculating them with healthy ones then it's going to fail from the outset.

I'm pretty sure people here know that "you say no but you're body says yes" is just a fantasy thing for doujins pr stories and that none of us are going to be talking any women or men or whatever.

Ultimately what does this discussion have to do with this story?

Has someone's sensibilities been offended & now IRUN has to modify the lemon as if there were forum police ready to book him if he didn't?

Again, you're oversimplifying things to, frankly, an insulting degree, not to mention completely twisting what I'm saying (willfully or not). I expect much better from you, Royd.

Sorry. I have the mind of a polemicist, so even when I try to have a friendly debate my words often come out much harsher than intended. I stand by what I said to some degree though. It's prima facie plausible pornography could lead young minds to develop a warped view of consent, but not any more so than the old and oft-refuted canard that fiction glorifying violence desensitizes people to committing violence in real life.

Seriously, there's fiction glorifying all sorts of fucked up stuff that'd be horrifying in real life. I guarantee you I can find popular and beloved shows, movies and video games presenting gangsters (the Yakuza franchise), serial killers (Hannibal), pirates (Pirates Of The Caribbean and One Piece), bounty hunters (heck, basically every "edgy wandering anti-hero" show ever) and practically every other disreputable group you could imagine as likeable and sympathetic, if not outright heroic, yet I doubt you'd argue society is condoning any of them. Why does the switch suddenly flip when sexuality is involved?

Actually, it’s about ethics in anime porn.

Royd, are you seriously arguing American society isn't desensitised to violence? Much less violence against the Other?
As for the "refuted canard", read more. The impact of fiction on the audience has been studied since, oh, Antiquity.

I thought the argument that violent media makes people violent (of which the crudest form is "violent video games cause school shootings") is considered silly nowadays. Do you regard the two cases as equivalent, then?

No, it's not as cut-and-dried as that, but you're the one creating the false equivalence. Saying "the fiction we consume helps construct our beliefs and personalities to an extent" is a far cry from saying "the fiction we consume molds us against our will", which is what you're implying.
