Damn, Nobuhiko's voicework this episode.
They also animated that a lot more interestingly than I thought they would

Ah yeah, fear the power of the horn of the bad CGI general.

I couldn't help but smile at every second of the finale of Lupin III Part 5.
I was initially sceptical when I realised this season would be all about social media and how difficult it would be to do Phantom Thief stuff in the modern day, but they really pulled it off.
Bring on Part 6!!!

Muhyo and Roji Episode 8: Just like that, Muhyo's constant use of Magic Law exhausted him. And Sophie's ability to transform into her victims after she kills them and steal their face is revealed. Teeki made his first appearance too, I imagined his voice being a lot deeper. I can't wait for the next episode.
My Hero Academia Season 3 Episode 22: So Todoroki, Inasa, and Bakugo didn't pass, while Midoriya and the rest of the class did. I did not expect that at all, Todoroki and Bakugo are the best out of the whole class. Finally showed what Himiko's Quirk was. Man, that's so creepy, she's so creepy. That's the means the whole time she was- I guess that means the girl she was posing as is dead. Ugh, the whole thing might creep me out more than the last Muhyo and Roji episode. What do they want with Midoriya's blood?
And that talk between All for One and All Might was so good. All for One is a really good villain. I liked how All Might's declared to stop his plans, but what can he do? The part in the opening where his arm pushes Midoriya in his Hero form and then shows him in his true form still gets me every time.
So Bakugo figured out how Midoriya got his Quirk. Loose lips sink ships. Man, this confrontation reminds me of the one that Naruto and Sasuke had on the hospital rooftop. The fight before everything changed. It's pretty much for the same reasons too.

It's was funny seeing Reyes getting a pity glimpse of screentime with how she got btfo'd at every corner but I'm glad they ended her suffering in the same respectful fashion.
I kind of regret reading the VN before watching but I'm satisfied.

OLD MEN ARE THE FUTURE
I hate all the close ups of muscles/limbs tensing up in Hanebado. I feel like something is going to pop and it makes me very squeamish.
Finished S;G0. It had its moments, and the ending scenes in particular were quite good, but this can't even begin to hold a candle to the original. I haven't read the Epigraph trilogy or the VN, so I won't comment on whether or not this was a good adaptation, but this was not a very worthwhile or purposeful viewing. The message in S;G classic was a really powerful moment. It raised a pair of questions: under what circumstances was it filmed? What sparked the inspiration of doing it? I always interpreted that he was sequestered by some faction the baddies, forced to work for them, and this was him rebelling against them after who knows how much time of servitude. The story behind that message was only important in that it needed to be mysterious and hopeful, that even under the darkest circumstances, he was working to save the world. The story behind the message is almost always going to be cooler in the viewer's imagination than in reality, as was the case here for me. The show felt unnecessarily long, with ideas that were kinda fun but ultimately pointless. I have nothing against this existing, I just don't consider it essential viewing when getting into Steins;Gate. I rewatched episodes 1 and 24 of Steins;Gate and they were both infinitely better than any given episode of 0, especially the first one. None of the cinematography, pacing or general scene comp was anywhere near as good in 0 as it is in the original. If there's one thing that I did get from 0, it's the desire to rewatch the original in its entirety.
It's not event just that. It is actually just bad. Most of the good in the original is done poorly here.
I don't know which route the anime followed, but even the better ones were just tolerable at best, with one or two emotional moments that relied completely on the original, so it's no merit of Zero.
The only thing I liked in Zero was Maho, occasionally, but her own route varied between boring and annoying. And the AMADEUS TO SALIERI conflict between AMADEUS TO SALIERI her and Kurisu AMADEUS TO SALIERI that was interesting at first AMADEUS TO SALIERI ultimately boiled down AMADEUS TO SALIERI to a single, tired, repetitive comparison AMADEUS TO SALIERI and never moved beyond that.
I'm not even going to talk about time travel stuff and how they fucked it up completely.
S;G 0 is what happens when you take a pretty good self-contained story and try to force more stuff from it because S;G made too much money and you want to use the S;G name for more money. I dunno how much faith I have in future SciAdv and SVN after this. C;C was pretty good, but even it had issues. O;9 was indeed the best show of it's year, but the VN managed to explain even less than the anime and now here's hoping the new release and patch for the existing release (Whenever they come, which they should have already) can fix the issues and make it a decent VN. But I'm scared of Anonymous;Code being rewritten like 6 times already
TL;DR: Fuck Chiyomaru.

Muhyo and Roji Episode 9: If there is one thing that always gets to me, it's large amounts of blood. I must have forgotten that Sophie spared Imai because she had bobbed hair, she got lucky. Muhyo summoning Hell's Marshall was as cool, I could have sworn he needed more tempering to do it. But now they have a bigger problem.
Spoiler:
I thought O;9 was one of the worst shows of its year. The plot was whatever, but just about everything about how it was put together was awful. I don't know whether I hated it more than the Chaos;Child anime (probably the latter), but so far I can only give SciAdv points for Chaos;Head VN and Steins;Gate VN and anime.
