Naked Ishtar in the intro automatically makes this the best episode this anime will have. Well, maaybe excepting the fight with Quetz, if they animate it right (doubt).

Actually, I would be pretty happy to see him do that, but yeah, it seems the anime went with the wallflower version in the end.

You know what, I never expected to actually say that in an anime adaptation, but I'm fairly sure they actually made the boobs smaller, on both Ishtar and Ushiwaka. I mean, they're not monsters like some characters I could mention, but it feels like their respectable bust got downgraded to just small.


I also can't decide whether the constant inserts of the game's OST are a good or a bad thing. On the one hand, they're nice touches of nostalgia for the players and they're by no means bad pieces on their own; on the other hand, they're SO OVERUSED that just hearing them gives me a minor PTSD.

Crying Mash is an affront to the natural order.

Episode 8 is an epic battle that will be the turning point of the first half. Especially Leonidas I and Ushiwakamaru are cool! ! Although the popularity of the characters is divided even in the anime scene so that superiority or inferiority can not be attached, these two people are the characters that have become particularly popular among the staff in the planning of animation. Be sure to pay attention to the reason why they are heroes in a compelling action.

Rin Tohsaka as an entity ceased to exist when Ishtar was thrown into the mix. If you feel the need to overthink it, it's pretty much murder, not rape. But in reality it's just an excuse to have a Rin-like character without actually ripping Rin away from her hard-earned ending in F/SN, so in a sense it's the best of the alternatives Nasu could have gone with.

A pattern I noticed so far is that the only episodes that actually expanded on Fujimaru (4 with the Olga flashback and 6 with the Ushi/Merlin interactions) were the two episodes scripted by Kodachi. The next one will also be Kodachi, so let's see if that holds up still.

Timey-wimey shit.

If I understand it correctly, which I'm not terribly sure of either, the Incineration of history takes place in 2016/2019, it's just that in order for it to come about the past has to be destabilized in every era (singularities). So Goetia seeded his pillars into specific bloodlines with orders to reactivate at specific time periods, get a grail (possibly he sends it to them directly from the Timeless Temple), and make a history-destabilising Singularity. Also I guess he sent one directly back in time to create the Babylonia singularity since that one takes place before his time. Then he goes and sulks in the Timeless Temple for a bit before preparing to start the ritual in 2016/19, only he realises we've already started changing his script so he heads down to London to talk some shit at us.


So tl;dr humanity hasn't been incinerated yet, rather it's "future" has been set to incineration.
