I don't see them airing a new year special three months into the new year
They will probably just skip it this year or have something else, or frame it around the anime
I'm 50/50 on if they will have Solomon by the end of the anime (I don't disagree with what Deathhappens said) but at the same time, I wouldn't be surprised if they just had a special announcement that said that it happens once episode 21 ends. Or maybe they don't and the show ends on that for its sequel hook (or I guess, go-play-the-game for the conclusion of this story hook).

Yeah 21 sounds pretty good. One of my worries was that the typical amount of episodes meant either rushing though everything like a seasonal anime or a lot of padding if they wanted more airtime, but this is fine.Originally Posted by yokushi

Though while odd, 21 is indeed fine considering it was mentioned they'd reach chapter 6 by episode 5 according to the script.
There’s gotta be some kind of reason why they went which such a weird number of episodes. Anime is typically made in multiples of 12-13 because of TV slots, logical pacing be damned. A 3 ep surprise Solomon is not a farfetched idea at all.

Maybe it's 21 +3 recap episodes? A SOL recap before the goddess roundup begins, another after the Goddesses are all taken care of, and one before the penultimate episode.

Started Legend of the Galactic Heroes (14/07/23), pray for me.
Having 3 recaps would be even stranger then just having 21 episodes with no addition. Not to mention recaps would most likely still be counted anyways if they planned it far in advance.

It does seem like Crunchyroll's days are numbered, in any case, given that Sony consolidating Funimation, Madman and Wakanim into, presumably, an eventual future anime-streaming service for the international market. Pretty much what every other media-based company is preparing for at this stage with their own content.
Just a shame that Funimation's site continues to be shit for watching anything on there.

Looking at the Babylonia scans I'm a bits surprised neither Ishtar nor Merlin have appeared in any. In fact most of them have been Gil (not that I mind)
Not very surprising. It's like how Saber was in most promo art for HF.
Unless i am counting wrong if the anime is 21 episodes until march then 2 recap episode is basically confirmed.
