Probably gonna get a little teary at this episode, Ana is too good.

I see what they're doing with that preview... I don't know if I'm ready
I watched it raw. And I seriously kind of don't like what they're doing. Things are going by way too fast.
As an example, we're already encountering the Lahmu talking normally. Also, they're depicted as a mix of 2d for close-in scenes and 3d for wider shots/full body scenes.
Grave. Rave. Crave. Deprave.
That was Hell you walked through. Ascension Hell, the first level.
Then you marched through Skill Mat Hell and QP Hell, the second and third levels.
Now you approach Bond 15 Hell.
CG can be used to make them feel unnatural and off-putting, though as I haven't seen the episode yet I dont know if they're a good example of that.
I've honestly felt the pacing of this whole series has been on the fast side.
I'm glad to see that Gil has more than laughing
Mm, yeah, I think I'd have extended the Gorgon fight more and saved Eridu for next episode. I liked the middle of the ep but the beginning and ending were really fast.
Medusa's part was good but the pacing after was too fast. I guess adapting keyboard smashing is hard, but it takes away a bit of the satisfaction of Kingu getting the rug pulled from under him

Oh and Lahmus aren't talking normally by the way.
One talks right at the very end after it stabs Kingu, but yeah for most of the episode they were just doing their gibberish.
Was that Primate Murder during the Beasts explanation? It looked doglike.

The tail's fluff checks out.
I always imagined him being beefier.
something was bugging me about Ishtar in this episode (and in anime in general)
after i checked how far anime is in terms of ingame chapters i realised what it is
she doesnt get her golden rape eyes
this cannot be forgiven, -1 point from the adaptation
and yeah episode is way too fast
while i think they delivered lahmu presentation pretty well, enkidu dialogue after gorgon definitely should've been longer and heavier
i mean merlin fucking died and nobody said a thing
also they should've ditched the opening for this ep, clearly

This episode was weird. The pacing felt way too fast. Nothing was given a chance to sink in because something else was already happening, and there's just no impact. The music was sudued, and there's a lot of weird close ups.
This is definitely the most disappointed i felt in the entire series. Seriously, why did they decide to do 21 eps and going as far as having 4 breaks if they're rushing it like this? Just this episode alone should've been spaced out into 1,5 eps. doing 23 instead of 21 would've been better for the series.

Damn i'm legit salty right now because it felt like they squandered the actually good stuff.

Well. We know we can blame Higashide for this. Wasn't it him in charge of this episode?.

I mean, to an extent yeah, but what episode has what content would have been decided by the higher-ups so that individual episode production doesn't overlap or clash. I would imagine they told Higashide "okay your job is to write from the Gorgon fight to Kingu being stabbed." And he could have done that better for sure, but to make one episode cover that much probably wasn't on him.
