Yeah there's a ton of videos of just the story scenes on YouTube. It's a time investment though, Camelot alone is like 7 hours of story even with all the gameplay cut out.

Not very, I've never spent money, save up free quartz for my targets and the only time I've had to really rage quite fights is during challenge quests, which aren't necessary anyway.Originally Posted by bassgs435

Grand/Order's Gacha rates are shit, and you can fall into spending money if you have no impulse control (mine being that the game rejects my card) but it's also very F2P friendly, I can say that much

Being F2P in FGO is really easy though, even on JP where the contents are way ahead. With so many improvements on support list even a newbie can breeze through Part 1 with team of Silvers and Bronzes. You just need to follow a HUGE whaler with NP5 fully skilled Merlin/Skadi/Cu Alter and you're set.
Also, freebies like Kinrider, Chloe, BB and Santa Quetz is damn good. They even gives you a free unit that really trivialized the final boss in Salem!
Kintoki Rider and Chloe are the best freesbies around in NA server ATM.
Chloe (Archer) is a no-no, since the Prisma Illya event won't be back for almost 3 years.
Kintoki Rider is an option, since Onigashima is probably coming in 4~5 months or so.
Santa Alter (Rider), Irisviel (Caster), Santa Jeanne Alter Lily (Lancer), Elizabeth Bathory (both Saber and Caster), Saber Lily (Saber... duh) and Oda Nobunaga (Archer) are the freebies (all 4 star servants, most of them damn good) currently on NA.
I have no idea when their events (save the "Santa" ones that happen at christmas) will come back.
You can start to play anytime, really. It doesn't matter.
If you enjoy the game, you'll stay. Trust me.

I've heard from some people that Merlin is supposed to have slightly pointed ears and they got it wrong here? I don't think I've seen any official art with his ears visible though.
