Jaguarman is the best thing to happen to Babylonia.

After Ana, that is.
that part with quetz flying away on her pterosaur is peak smell ya later loser moment
I really liked that childish argument between gil and Ishtar at the start of the ep, with the two of them just being tiny well animated, expressive smudges on opposite sides of the screen.

It only makes sense to Ana hate Jaguar. She too, like Quetz, is a snake.
This was a really fun episode, although I can't help but feel that it makes all that dramatic tension built up in Episode 4 pretty empty in hindsight. Like, there was a big thing about how agonizing it was for Fujimura to abandon Ur's citizens, which also gave the impression that his party's return would be a big dramatic thing. It's not though. Jaguarman, the one who caused that emotional turmoil, is treated pretty casually upon reintroduction and she's brought into the party without even touching on that previous encounter. It isn't a huge deal, but I think it does make that episode weaker in hindsight.
The wish-fulfillment/waifu DNA in the production was really obvious here as well, with Quetz jokingly proposing in her introductory scene and Jaguarman's "seduction". The latter wasn't too bad since it was a big comedic moment, but the former felt kinda cringe, especially since recent episodes have been ramping up "Ritsuka Fujimura - Harem Protag" vibes. Like, Babylonia, you're better than this, you don't need to go for the waifubait as soon as this new character is introduced. (That goes for both the source material and this adaptation)
All that being said, I'd like to reiterate that I really enjoyed this episode. It was primarily comedic in tone, but that was some very well-done comedy. I could see some tonal discrepancy issues when the anime is viewed as a whole, but as a standalone entry it's pretty good.
Babylonia is very much a harem chapter lol. Ishtar outright calls the group Ritsuka's harem in the game, which is why I was unsurprised they used Gudao for the anime.

Camelot also had a character fall for the protagonist via harem type hijinks combined with her rather intense mental health issues

Then there was Shinjuku that basically had Jalter and Salter fighting over the protagonist
Goddesses are horny, new at 11.
I wonder of picking Quetz and Ishtar/Eresh was also secretly Tiamat self-flagellating...
Of fuck i fully belted out laughing during the taiga part. My chest actually hurts from all the laughing.
Good ep.

GudaChad seducing Taiga in a fursuit with the suggestive imagery going wild in the background was a disturbing sight to witness.

It would've been better for flow if Quetz shows up and then they use that to hype her/infodump
Infodumping about Quetz and then Quetz literally showing up a second later is...rough. That was actually so fucking bad.
My Fanfics. Read 'em. Or not.McJon01: We all know that the real reason Archer would lose to Rider is because the events of his own Holy Grail War left him with a particular weakness toward "older sister" types.
Yeah I think that's a case where they shouldn't have stuck as close to the game.
man, Gil looked so happy throught out the entire episode
Nah, it's the the two weeks after the next one.
