I absolutely did not expect Fukasawa to repeat the miracle that is Mahoyo soundtrack.
He did okay job on UBW i think. Not expectional but then you think about it only soundtracks which are truly exceptional in UFO tm anime are knk!Kajiura and thats just because thats peak Kajiura.
FZ and UBW soundtracks were made to compliment the anime rather than be standalone awesomesauce (which is a shame, Apo OST turned out way better than expected because it has this standalone feel, and complimentary-style OST wouldntve saved anime anyway so total win) and i think he did much better than Kajiura did for FZ.

Only unreasonable expectation i allowed myself (and was subsequently let down because no shit) was Emiya remix which would at least rival KK version.

I like UBW's OST, it felt pretty Hollywood, and I don't know if that makes sense but I liked it. I believe it's better than any other Kajiura work past KnK. Damn it, Aniplex should've hired Fukasawa for HF.

UBW's OST was utterly unimpressive, but I disagree on Zero, every single there was gold (oath;sign, To The Beginning, Manten, Sora wa Takaku Kaze wa Utau, and even the oft-neglected Memoria). Instrumental-wise, I know Battle Is To The Strong and This Day And Never Again also get a lot of value, though I wasn't particularly moved by them myself.

i feel the same thing about FZ. Anything thats not textbook Kajiura ends up being utterly unmemorable and unmoving. To this day i dont understand why people on the internet like battle is to the strong so much.

not that i mind, i think ops and eds are about equal (no shit, half of them are Kalafina, Ideal White and Oath Sign are surprisingly similar and that only leaves Aimer vs Memoria \ Sora wa Takaku Kaze wa Utau and in that comparision Last Stardust wins easily)

Zero's OST isn't as good as KnK and Princess Principal's, but I still like it better than just about every other Fate anime. I like UBW's and one or two tracks from Last Encore and Apo. Prillya is pretty good (though that music that plays every 5 minutes in 3rei sucks ass) DEEN/stay night's OST on its own is alright (though I can only remember Unmei no Yoru off the top of my head), but I can't say it's a good OST if it's so badly utilized in the show. Emiya Gohan and Carnival Phantasm are probably my favorites after Zero.
