There is a major injustice that a thread featuring Valkyria Chronicles isn't here on BL. I'm here to correct such a horrible mistake.

I believe that Valkyria Chronicles should have more attention and love in America. It's probably one of the better SRPGs around and VC1 is still one of the better games on the PS3; it's rather big in Japan so why should they keep all the fun there? Use this thread to discuss a lot of stuff you want about the games: the story, the characters, the gameplay, anything you can think of! Show your love for the game! oWo

Just chimming in to say that Valkyria Chronicles 2 was an enjoyable game and screw the haters. And that VC3 should come soon.

VC3 is easy to play even if you don't speak any Japanese. There are some decent translation guides and the menus and stuff are basically the same as VC2

What was your guys' favorite mission? I loved VC1 mission in the desert level with all the tanks, bases, snipers, and more snipers (I think this was around Mission 14 or so). That battle took over 4 or 5 hours for me because everything I did somehow went wrong.

All the 3 missions involving Selvaria. She is a great challenge and she is love! <3 The other 2 missions with Jaeger are good too.

Not a fan of 2(partially PSP being awful, partially loldub, and partially I just didn't like the setting as much) but 1 was awesome. I hope someday somebody translates 3. Looks like it goes back to 1's roots.

I enjoyed 1 completely. I enjoyed the GAMEPLAY of 2 a lot, even if I groaned at the cookie cutter story and characters. I really REALLY want to play 3. If the translation guides are that good, I might just go ahead and import it.

I think it's worth importing. 3 is better than 2 in almost every way IMO. Big tanks are actually usable, there's no more goddamn certificate or material grinding, etc. Getting an S-rank on some of the post game missions is also pretty hard, instead of just steamrolling everything with your invincible commandos like 2. My only complaint was that they got rid of character-specific Class potentials. I really liked how those made everyone even more unique than just the personal potentials and stats. I guess it does have the benefit of making everyone about equally usable instead of just whoring the guys with double move/double action/double attack/max attack tho, lol.
