I did saw it, several times. Lily (the girl in my new avatar and sig) is a suima (sex demon like a succubus but has wider range of targets), she sex with the MC (who is a demon king) then also humans, orcs, zombies, harpies, lamias, and all sort of other monsters. The MC himself is a rapist who rapes all women in any town he destroyed on his path.
Yet I've seen ppl trying to defend the MC's action, saying it's normal to take revenge on those who sealed him away, or Lily not being a virgin only happens if you go for the H scene and will not happen at all if you "try super hard" to avoid them (which is actually false because the very first H scene in the VN is her forming a contract with the MC through sex magic).
And ofc how can I forget everytime I get downvoted on reddit for saying Tamamo has an evil side. I did not even say anything regarding her virgin status and they already reacted like that.

Shirou, a VN protagonist first created more than 20 years ago, has got more persoanlity and baggage (and most of it from that original VN) than most current day blokes ever display. Same for Shiki.

Well, that is mostly because some people usually take only the positive aspects of Shirou's ideal, or just imagine being badass assassin with Shiki.
They cut out the mental issues, mental blocks and serious flaws to work through.
Eh, the only hard part is sometimes memes make it hard to have a good convo, but again, most of the really bad times have passed.but i think Altima deals with it better than i ever could
I understand my favorite character is not an idyllic type, with issues to work through.
There's also the people who ramp up his sex god characteristics, especially in harem fics.
As for the last part, you always bring a valuable perspective in any debates on here about Sakura, at least right now.
