Zouken's interest in wanting the Matou to keep on having their magic is pretty much so a Matou heir can participate in the Grail Wars right?
I thought it was so he could body snatch them and participate in the Grail War, eventually achieving true immortality.
But it's noted the only time he himself participated as a Master in a Grail War was in the Heaven's Feel route. That means all the other Grail Wars before Zero had to have a Matou Master in them.
