She did. In UBW rin removes her entire crest to form the contract. She does not recover it.
fun fact, in fate, shirou doesn’t give saber one mystic circuit either. He sacrifices 30% of all his circuits. Something like 10.

Case Files Volume 1 reveals how branch families are made and how splitting the Crest can be relatively easily repaired (and how really old Crests need to be like refreshed or cleaned or something because they can start to rot.)
