I don't remember that... but yeah, I got a lot of laughs out of it couple of summers ago when the WN was translated. And I haven't read a whole lot of Isekai to be honest so ¯\_(ツ)_/ ¯.
Not quite isekai but in a similar vein, Everybody Loves Large Chests is a good read, especially in the How To Make Your Protagonist An Actual Monster school.

I tried reading a PILLS AND CULTIVATION web novel once, I got bored pretty quickly.
Reading manwha based off of them goes well enough, though.

I'd say no, the premise is the same but it doesn't really follow any of the tropes that define the genre.
Digimon is more like Narnia
School students suddenly found themselves in a strange world that different from their world.But they are not OP or have cute girls as their companion

Without watching that, I will say I haven't read Re:Zero's LN but really enjoyed its anime.

Honestly some of the LNs have crappy enough plots and characters they read like fanfics that got prominent.
Like that one about the emotionless magic user who has some sort of younger sister that is a brocon. All I remember is the magic school they attend has green school uniforms.
