I chuckled a few times, but it needed to be longer to be better; as it is, the majority of the work are gags that didn't really land with me. I honestly expected one of the other two prompts to be written, as they were better.

I thought of doing the first one at first, but I never had a good idea for it, while the Hot Fuzz parody practically wrote itself in my mind. Go figure. It was good to step out of my comfort zone, though, even if only to relearn how hard comedy is.

I've half a mind to release a director's cut kinda thing that includes a scene of Arcueid, Ciel, and Nanako that better clarifies how Arcueid's influence on a 'post-Nanako-chan SOS!' Nanako led to the formation of the cursebody Nanako we see in 'Incurable Poison,' like I wanted to originally include, but nixed from the OG version because I REALLY, REALLY didn't want to write any more Arcueid dialogue. She's tough to write for anyway, and I wasn't in a proper state of mind to go 110% with her during IC's writing period. So, I instead left the nature of this connection/development ambiguous to further put Arihiko out of his element via a lack of being able to completely connect to Nanako and Arcueid's shared experience due to not being able to experience it himself, and to put greater narrative weight on what little, albeit genuine--grounded, help that Arihiko can offer to Nanako.
I DO think it's worth exploring for the sake of a fully realized story, that there's merit to the Nanako/Arcueid comparison/contrast angle I wanted to showcase more of within the 'fic, but actually illustrating those arguments is a problem for Future IRUn to worry about.
I digress. You're welcome. It was an ultimately fun fic to put together, and I liked having an excuse to write Nanako and Arihiko stuff!
