I actually love miyuverse shirou for all his fanservice, it's just one of those things that when I see the fandom gush about I feel like shittalking it because it bothers me like hell.

Like when people use a shirou from one of the routes to shit on shirou from another route. Like, fuck, yeah, let's just pretend FSN doesn't implicitly carries over the development from one route to the next and act like Nasu just magically learned to make shirou a "better" character at UBW.

Just... no. No, damn you. You can't just have action hero edgy Shirou without the Shirou who's just trying understand wtf is going on and deal with how he wants to be a hero but is lacking in any kind of power to do so he just throws himself to die for his perfectly capable servant. You can't have it! You sit down and eat your vegetables learn to appreciate foolish fate route shirou first!

I still stand by what I've said before, that Fate may not reach the highs of UBW and HF but it doesn't reach their lows either. It stays the most consistent in its quality.

HF spent a bit too long spinning its wheels and indulging in grimdark for my liking, but UBW's only real eye-roller for me was wedding bondage Saber. What put you off of UBW?

It wasn't an eye-roller so much as being bored, but basically the first half (first third?). I just don't think Medea and Kuzuki are interesting at all so that chunk of UBW's story is a slog for me.

It's a mixed bag. Some people like him because trapslul, some hate him because trapslul, some like him because of his stupidly (possibly kinda but not really cos his legend is more or less the same thing) carefree, happy go lucky attitude, some hate it.

Personally, I think he's one of Apoc's best characters, and a better hero than most of the characters who could curbstomp him.
