As much as I'd like to see things like more of Notes and Grail dismantling, I agree they're better off being left as vague things we occasionally get info on but are mostly left to our imaginations.

I sort of agree, but at least for the Grail Dismantling, it's just sweet, sweet resolution. Sure, fanfic can fill the void, but...As for narrative stuff, I just want to see where Rin, Waver(less than the others), and maybe Shirou have gone in 10 years and how they are living their lives. That, and I really would like to see adult Rin, adult Shirou's, and Saber's dynamic if they could ever summon her again. I just don't know. Prequel material, on the other hand, is something I really think needs to be elaborated.

Prequel Material rarely if ever needs to be elaborated on. We know enough about, say, the 3rd War to understand what happened and how it's relevant to the 4th and 5th.

Extra details like "Who was the Saber Servants in that war" or "Which moron blew up the Lesser Grail" or "Why are the Nazi's even here?" don't really add anything.

What we could use is more expansion on other things in the world.

I heavily disagree on the Third War part. Those details certainly do add something, and it'd be a fun story on its own, even if it might be bleak.

Kinda like how FSF and Case Files work. That makes sense, even if I find it unsatisfying. The ideal way for me would be one scenario for each route, but we know that ain't happening.
