BL Character Defining Lines

I think Sparks Liner High isn't that good.
I mean, I like it, and it was definitely emotional, but even as someone who loved Saber, I don't see why it's seen in such high regard and recommended as a mandatory Dead End like Mind of Steel.
I honesty think it shouldn't, it doesn't add anything meaningful besides one or two cool characters, and I much preferred when Kiritsugu was only an amalgamation of Shirou's most impactful memories and second hand information from people who hated him.
Well, at least it spawned Knight of Owner, thanks Uro.
I think it's sad in a way that I got into Fate and TM at a time where I never even got to consider Zero as such, since it already existed. Whether I started with FSN or Zero I'd always know that it was there, full-fledged and waiting.
Really because other then technique Lancelot showed the down sides of being a Berserker far more then Herk ever did. Sure Herk was made that he lost his technique, but it was apparent in the VN that he had way more control of himself then he should had have. Lancelot though was a proper Berserker, don't care shit about anything other then tearing apart what was in front of him, even if that killed his Master

As opposed to Hercules, who lost his fighting skills but was so high-spec that his natural abilities were indistinguishable from skill, was SO HEROIC that he followed all commands unfailingly without running wild even without command spells, and whose master was a munchkin mana furnace that even negated the power consumption downside of Berserkers
Herc was the better Berserker simply because Herc Fu is infinitely cooler than Everything Is Noble Phantasms.
Spoiler:
But... Lance couldn't talk, was mad to the point of ignoring orders, and eventually killed his Master on sheer mana consumption as soon as Kariya ran out of Seals to rein him in with. He literally had ALL the downsides.
You want to point fingers on Berserkers not Berserking properly, start with FGO and Tamamo Cat/Golden Boy/basically all the launch Berserkers.

Spartacus is initially cool (<say the guy)
Then every Berserker can talk
Now we can get Berserker that just a bit airy...
Darius is great

It's a shame because he (and Arjuna) is the one that makes me excited for GO
If anything that Link help with it would be the aesthetic they gave Darius. He looks like a giant monster catastrophe so that's definitely nice.

Spartacus talking was fine, because the rest of his character made it QUITE clear that he was still mad, just not in the same way as most Berserkers.
And there ares some Berserkers who can talk that are still good examples of what Mad Enhancement means. But on the other hand you have stuff like TamaCat (for all my love of her) who's perfectly lucid and just does whatever she wants, or Kintoki and Beowulf, who just get REALLY ANGRY but only sometimes. Nightingale is a good example, she ignores everything you say because she doesn't ever think in other terms than "patient" and "doctor". Raikou is an okay example, because while she's mostly lucid she still has a warped common sense AND a superpowered evil side trying to take over. Chacha is a joke. Dracula is only a Berserker because they wanted to separate him from Extra Vlad (even though he's a Lancer in Apocrypha too). Etc.

To be frank Chacha, Beowulf, and Kintoki kinda get an excuse since there ME is low so it's why they can do what they do. It's more annoying though of Bersekers whose Madness is more of an off and on switch of when they chose which is most of Madness Enhancement EX. Or Berserkers who arent really mad but just fit the aesthetic like Atalanta Alter
