Honestly the fucking cardboard jokes are so tiring that I've been slowly developing a liking for him because of them, though I'm sure that delicate process would stop immediately if I rewatched Apo.

Enjoying media is a process of stepping beyond canon and, eventually, usually fandom too.
Imagine that the world is made out of love. Now imagine that it isn’t.
Imagine a story where everything goes wrong, where everyone has their back against the wall, where everyone is in pain and acting selfishly because if they don’t, they’ll die.
Imagine a story, not of good against evil, but of need against need against need, where everyone is at cross-purposes and everyone is to blame.

かん汗ぎゅう牛じゅう充とう棟
Expresses the exceeding size of one's library.
Books are extremely many, loaded on an oxcart the ox will sweat.
At home piled to the ridgepole of the house, from this meaning.
Read out as 「Ushi ni ase shi, munagi ni mitsu.」

I'm pretty sure I was clear on what the problem was for me.

Paracelus bond lines in general aren't remarkable, but when I bother to keep him in my backline and the end result of the dialogue is 'Misaya I'm sorry for screwing you over' I don't feel "wow I understand him better" I feel irritated because at that point he might as well not be there. And I guess it's 'deep', considering it's the only thing about him besides his looks they stand out to me
After that it's either called "masochism" or "penance," not fandom.

I have little to no opinion about Medea. I support those who love her.

Also kidnapping Saber in creepy sexualizing manner is bad, but like... Medea is part of a system of problems.

I knew that was coming, but there are people who ship Medea and Saber, too. I cannot stand that likewise, but I am willing to live and let live. You can recall the way I wrote what I wanted in my fic rather than referring to doujins I had nothing to do with if one wants to understand my interest in a "bad" ship.

I don't care for the Seig in Apocrypha, but the him in grandorder is almost offensively adorable. So now the cardboard jokes rubs me the wrong way, so does the fact that I once saw someone refer to posting Sieg x Jeanne posts as 'stirring the nest'
- I will never hate nor love Medea. There's no reason behind it, if a character doesn't charm the pants of me, I'll remain in a state of indifference
I mean if you don't like the version of SaberxGil that exists in the relevant Doujins you don't actually like SaberxGil, since a significant amount of his interest in her is derived from the pleasure he would gain from Raping her until she broke down.
As in IIRC he's specifically not interested in Alter in UC because she's already broken and who has time for that.
saber is...the tohno shiki, of fate/stay night
think on this

He likes her because she's a shirou who is not a faker and whose ideal is her own.
It's the juxtaposition of her fragility and her stubbornness/pride that tickles his pickle.
And he wants to see the struggle and then the shattering of that.
After that she's pretty boring.

I really don't know what to tell you except that I have an admittedly fanon conception of a thing that I like with their characters that discounts a lot of things I consider nonsensical exaggeration in canon. It is called fanfiction for a reason. Also, I like Gilgamesh primarily because I like the original canon and a few things from Fate canon only.
Thanks, You.

Would've had to have read the thing with that person in it to do that...

You's version was far more poetic and elegant though.
Besides, Prix already admitted that his version of GilXSaber is his own OCDonutSteel version of the characters, so there's not much to discuss there, if all he wants is someone with Saber's looks and someone with Gil's looks to make pretty Aryan babies
Easy to understand, but I never understood why people think he's somehow decent underneath really. Ironically, I find it similar to the allure of tsunderes being a byproduct of someone's want to conquer something "strong" and then they become disinterested when full dere happens.
Plus the "wanting to drink her tears" bit was full on creep. Then his viewpoint about humanity as an adjudicator was even more assholish. Then finally, saying that killing Sakura was his form of mercy when he knows his pocket genocide machine is part of the reason she is corrupted and that he could have stopped that at any time is the icing on the shit cake.
It wasn't creepy, he was just feeling a little dehydrated is all. Gotta get dem electrolytes!
