i have a pet theory that when saber’s age was frozen, she was just hitting a growth spurt. This is the primary reason for a couple of saber’s more notable traits. See if I’m right her metabolism is super charged to prepare for growing up a bit more, lending itself well for saber’s rocket propelled high energy fighting methods using Prana burst

That does make sense, since she looks like she's on the cusp of puberty IMO. Of course, I'm sure the dragon core also played a huge part in her appetite.
I figure she just likes eating because Shirou's cooking is so good, not just in general (Grand Order jokes notwithstanding). Does Zero have any reference to her appetite?
The most canon of all TM works, Carnival Phantasm, has her as a glutton even if it isn't Shirou's food

Oh she definitely is, there is no doubt about that. She is a reasonably intelligent 35 year old woman who spent 20 years in the body of a hyperactive teenager. Learning to enjoy food that satisfies both a high calorie need as well as stimulates the senses would make sense as a hobby

I think people need to realize that Shirou is a divisive chara from the start. He possesses lots of traits that many find unlikable, Fate route especially so. Not everyone is willing to overlook their annoyance because of the depth of the character.

Though, in those days, was there any difference between being a teen and being an adult? Didn't people "come of age" during their teen years?
