1.Saber alter in the vn is closer to saber as she was during life, e.g. the perfect emotionless king, with a side of creeping madness amd barely restrained bloodlust, not a smiling fufufu edgelord
2.Also it spoils the actual appearance of saber alter for the sake of fanservice

to be fair, this should have been expected considering the nature of this work. you know, being a theatrical animated film series with a moderately 16+ (or around it) material. it goes without a saying, but the staff would have most likely thought: maybe we are not gonna exceed the budget's spending if we adapt it quite faithfully, let alone get more than it. let's solve it with F.S while simultaneously changing some stuff to look better!

i would have preferred a Realta nua HF TV series like UBW but nothing good ever happens.

There's two lines that really kill me from the entry so I'll paraphrase:

>last line when Arjuna finally kills Karna after all the curses have activated and his back is turned while lifting the chariot: "And thus, Arjuna shot down the sun."

That first line was not quite his reaction IRL. He was more like "Why are you only telling me this now? It's way too late. That being said, you are my mom, even if you abandoned me, so I promise not to kill my brothers except for Arjuna."

Also, it is interesting that Extra claims his detachment is a facade. I wonder how he might act in the presence of Duryodhana, since the latter brought out all his worst qualities in the Mahabaratha.

I think Karna was more nice about it in Type Moon, but that line was the last thing he said to her before leaving IIRCI

Karna personality now that I think about it almost feels autistic in a sense, even though I can't ever say for certain (and trying to avoid that meme). He says stuff that's harsh not out of hatred but compassion or something. The straight man whose demeanor misleads people.

I know Karna had that real black spot on the humiliation of Draupadi and I can't remember what else IRL he did beyond faithfully following Duryodhana despite the fact it was gonna kill a lot of people.

I do believe he played a role in the death of Arjuna's son Abhimanyu, the circumstances of which were considered highly dishonorable, but aside from that, the humiliation of Draupadi was his main black mark, as was his continued friendship with someone he knew to be an asshole.

Duryodhana was never that ambitious to my knowledge. He just wanted to beat the Pandavas and could not let his cousins win.
