In hindsight, I don’t know how i missed the obvious lack of budget from the first epsidoe of My Sister, My Writer. The opening and ending credits should have been a dead giveaway.

It's Endless Eight again. Only it seems to be done well this time.

I like how this show feels a lot like Monogatari, only without the monsters. Or Shaft Shaft-ing all over the place. Or Japanese puns that need a full page TL notes to explain. Monogatari-lite, if you would.

Once more, JoJo gets better when using well-edited subs and I might as well post some thoughts on ep 3 because I forgot to last week oops

I kinda wish Polpo's arms didn't just magically appear, so that the first WTF moment would be the finger scene, but other than that I loved his intro. They reused animation from the first episode when redoing the ear scene, but it was a short enough cut that it didn't bother me. The no-faces are starting to be more noticeable and I wouldn't mind them if it weren't for them happening during dialogue. The janitor is now Luigi instead of Mario, which is scarily relevant. It's weird to see Black Sabbath's mouth move, even if there's no particular reason for him not to be able to do that. Neat transition when he showed up. The scenes beforehand with Koichi were neatly directed, too. GioGio continues to be really well made and I hope the art quality holds out at least long enough for the train arc, or that they plan the scheduling so that Green Day and Oasis onwards get the lion's share of the resources.

Really loved how they handled Black Sabbath, it was really creepy in a way that I think the manga didn't quite capture. I'm glad they added a scene to give closure to Koichi and Jotaro's subplot, something sorely missing beforehand. I liked how they restructured Polpo's suicide, too; not to mention the actual scene, which I expected to be censored to hell. Super satisfied with this episode.

I agree about the subplot resolution. Anime did right. Also, I too appreciated Black Sabbath's depiction and general creepiness.
