IIRC, the Zero material on Waver said his ideology would have more destabilizing effects on the political landscape of CT (which would probably spill over on quality control of magecraft) and of course jokes on that Kayneth actually saved Waver from a miserable fate.
Some things get lost in translation, literally and metaphorically, through adaptations but this isn't a new insight.

He wasn’t really a character back then but they reeled in quite a bit of his prior quirkiness when he did. I assume because they never planned for that to happen at all.

the archer in future timeline had to be someone else beside shirou, since there had to be an original timeline where shirou wasn't archer.

nothing is confirmed, so no one knows, but it's only logical that he wasn't. hence why it's a popular fanon, but not necessarily a misconception.
Why is it logical that he wasn't? Since EMIYA is outside of the time stream it's perfectly reasonable for him to show up in the timeline that lead to him.
Personally I doubt it. In FSN none of the routes lead to archer being created. To me that suggests that archer himself being in the war is something that helps shirou realize some of his mistakes
