The thing is, the main resource Sanda used to drop references to other works was using guest characters from said works, they being mages from the Clock Tower (or Atlas).
Wasn't his only resource of course, but the most used. And he also didn't have Narita's obsession to drop references to everything.
And from the proto world, the only one I can remember from the CT is Bryn's master, who was on the run from being sealed designated...
