Can you expantiate on what exactly your issue with it is?

I'll try put it in as few words as possible, and forgive me the lack of more literary terms. Essentially, the Little Prince is an allegory for the inner child adults so often let wither and die as we grow more "rational" and "mature". It's not a real character, not in the sense of representing a fictional human. Making it into one, giving it likes, dislikes, and a history, is disregarding everything that makes it what it is, it's just sticking the name on a foreign puppet and calling it the Little Prince. It is utterly disrespectful to the work it steals from.

Maybe they can find a way to make it not be an abomination, heck, Nursery Rhyme exists, but I would really rather they just stuck to borrowing characters from myth.

While I never entirely disagreed with his bias, I always thought he was just overreacting. And he really is, but I still feel like I owe him an apology now. Maybe if his shouts echoed louder this wouldn't be happening.

I don't think I've read any of Meteo's stuff, so I can't comment on how the plot or tone will be. He came up with David and Astolfo though so I'm interested in whatever new characters we meet.

I mean you said it yourself, Nursery rhyme exists, and if the boy really ends up just being a young version of the author, that kind of fixes some of your issues doesn't it?

And while I can see why it bothers you, since there is no historical/fictional figure I have strong feelings towards (except perhaps Nightingale and I've grown attached to her fate version) it also kind of looks like your overreacting just a bit

Well, Meteo's writing is pretty much mostly about allegories, so it makes a lot of sense for him to go that route.

Also, it's pop culture without copyright, you can do whatever you want with it.

Yes, the physical book comes out on 31/12 during Comiket and the digital vertion is scheduled by the end of January
The new volume of Case Files also comes out on the same date/event, so expect New Years to be full of new info/summaries from both series

I suspect that might be Saint Exupery himself in a shota form, or at least a fusion of him and the Little Prince. Fitting for the 'tied fates' motif, since both character and creation disappeared under ambiguous situations.

Another possible scenario could be Saint-Exupéry actually met the Little Prince since the Pilot from the novel is supossed to be Saint's self insert and part of the plot be based on the author own crashing on the Sahara. And Meteo already make Lovecraft and Abigail time-space wanderers, so the Little Prince could be another such a character that got recorded after visiting Earth, but hopefully not all time-space travelers have to be connected to the Cthulhu mythos. This could be the opportunity to explore Nasu's idea of the age of will were mankind heads for the stars (That we got a little look at Gil's CCC ending) with a character that can represent that possibility
