As I said when Pinetree first posted that, it's pretty much my feelings too.
I can hardly blame Nasu for wanting to move on after writing the same thing for years, but it's kind of sad.

EXTRA by itself has nothing that grinds my gear, I also liked a lot that game and for the first years of FGO, when I also didn't care much, I aimed for EXTRA characters. The problem here is when you combine FGO aspects and things that happened in CCC specifically. I'm not going to go in deep details because I might spoil both EXTRA and FGO, but let's say that I don't want to live in a world where something that was created using software could be summoned in the Fuyuki HGW. I am oversimplifying it btw.
And there is also the fact that there are some evidences that 'Nasu was already tired of writing Fate by then' and wished to stop on EXTRA. There were lots of things added to the CCC plot that were forced by those who were near him. I believe that is also true for FGO which makes me think that most of what Fate is since CCC is pretty much not actually done with the same effort and pleasure that other works had.
Or to be more succint, I think Nasu is tired himself from Fate a long time ago and it makes most works to not have his full potential.
This by no way means that everything is bad, like I said, EXTRA was a good experience. I just don't see it as something so relevant to need to make a full insertion of pretty much all elements on the main project.
It's funny because EXTRA was the game that was forced on him by other people while CCC was the passion project that he filled with everything he wanted
Yeah, EXTRA was like that, he said that such game would be the last one.
But I lack the sources related to that passion with CCC though. At least from what I read, there were things on CCC that he needed some "force" from the staff to happen.
There's a lot of people that share this sentiment. I wouldn't mind them abandoning the remake if it meant something new, even if is something out of the canon. The more Fate is done, the clumsier the lore gets.
God help me, I'm starting to share Dullahan's disdain for loreseekers.
FGO makes a billion of dollars and the games that Nasu produces with it is a mediocre arcade game and a mediocre warriors game.
Just let French Bread do their thing Nasu.
When you have a work that's been running for years, it becomes a part of your life. As a result, it's always sad and leaves an empty feeling when it's finally over. It doesn't mean what comes after can't fill that hole though. If Nasu is tired of FGO, then what he makes next with actual motivation could be a lot better.
He never sleeps. He never dies.
Battle doesn't need a purpose; the battle is its own purpose. You don't ask why a plague spreads or a field burns. Don't ask why I fight.
Oh hi Crown
This interview feels like it's telling me Nasu had worked on nothing but Fate, and Tsuki Re was put on hold ever since FGO's development. I was hoping Nasu was secretly working on Tsuki little by little, but this interview seems like it's telling otherwise.
Speaking of unrestrained creativity I want to see Yoko Taro given free reign to make a Servant
that's definitely gonna be something
