Does this mean he's leaving just FGO or Fate as a whole to explore new projects? Since there's already this multiverse, will whatever he decides to do next be connected, ya think? Meh. I've no love of FGO and if moving on is what he wants to do, 'ight.
My understanding is we don't know what his next project actually is and it could be something different for Fate, it could be Tsuki:Re, it could be something brand new entirely. We just know what story he had planned for GO will be ending within the next couple years.
If it's something new I don't doubt that it would still be in the same setting.
He could also easily just retire, sit on his tatami mat and play Dark Souls all day while being set financially for the rest of his life. I know I would if I was in his position.
Can he really though? Sure, he's famous, his work is famous (within our narrow niche), but fame doesn't pay any bills. How good can a famous writer's salary be when he's in a company? Would he even get royalties?

Just to state an update to my initial post:
I edited it with translations of the interview, which should make more things clear to those who can't read japanese.
I will also put them here for convenience.

Eh, it'll be better to make a blog than a thread about this
Are you sure it'll be that easy?
How much you interested in TM before this?
Well I personally think that Fate stuff is really fit to FGO setting. the Servants, multiverse, grail, age of gods, magecraft, magical beast fit for a grand scale
I know since FGO was released, non fate things has been dissmissing. It's only been 3 years, better wait til Nasu done with FGO aka Lostbelt cleared
