“Hmm. Is this what they call ‘great minds think alike’?”
Those are John’s words upon setting foot in the kitchen, his half-smile aimed at Elise Marie Pelltier. The day before he had idly wondered about Sakura Tsukioka’s kitchen conquest plan, and to whether the school staff would let her get away with it. Mr. Hatou’s words the previous night have reignited that curiosity, so there he is.
Then again, Sakura…
“Well, somebody set herself loose last night.”
If the sight of Sakura Tsukioka surprises John, he does not show it on his face. After all, he does not judge. He never judges. There is no point in judging.
“Well, I don’t know if there is anything I can do, but nevertheless, I am here in case you need something,” he says while not really looking at the girl defeated by her own choices.
After placing a glass of cool water next to the bubbling brew Sakura called coffee, John aims for the frosted flakes; as good a start for a breakfast as anything. When he stretches his arms to reach for a bowl, he stoically ignores the muscular ache the world seeks to burden him with.
That pain is falsity, after all.
“Want some?” he offers to Elise, shaking the cereal box as if luring a small animal.
