Chapter 3: Devils and Demons (2)

    p01

    Ritsuka: Emiya!

    Ritsuka: (Sorry...)

Ritsuka: (My Command Spells suddenly activated. They probably reacted somehow when I met Inshun-san.)

    p02

Ritsuka: (But it still isn't enough!)
Ritsuka: (Even if I can summon Servants, these guys are...)

    Ritsuka: !? Musashi-chan!?

    p03

    Musashi: (Terrifyingly strong!)

Musashi: (All of them are on a different level than I am.)

    p04

    Chapter Title:
Chapter 3: Devils and Demons (2)

    p05

    Musashi: (What ridiculous power!)

    p06

    Musashi: Wah! Wah!

Musashi: (*heart pounding*) Sh-She can cut through steel!?

Shuten: Splendid, splendid! So you can even give a fairy tale hero the run-around!

    p07

Shuten: And to see you still flapping your lips after cross swords with that cow... this Tokugawa era really has gone to the pits, hasn't it?

Raikou: I was wondering what drivel you were spouting, but to suggest there are none of worth living in the Tokugawa...
Raikou: Would that include those children there as well? The depth of your depravity makes me sick.
Raikou: Know your folly and kill yourself...

    p08

    Raikou: INSECT.

    p09

    Musashi: Th-Thanks, Inshun-dono.
    Inshun's spear: *ring*

Musashi: (Above... I can't see her clearly, but this one's a huge thread, too!)
    Shuten: Oh, how scary!

Musashi: (Her demonic aura alone is greater than this woman's...)

Shuten: Oh, don't sweat the details, dear! Humans, Heroic Spirits, you're all fine to me! I'm no misanthrope.

Shuten: If I had to pick, I'd say that I rather like you all, hm?
Ritsuka: (That voice and that dialect, I knew it...)

    p10

    Ritsuka: (Shuten Douji!)

Ritsuka: (One of the Servants I've contracted with at Chaldea.)

    Ritsuka: (But...)
    Shuten: Well, well.

Shuten: Don't you have quite the heated gaze, dear. You'll burn me up, hee hee.
Shuten: If you know who I am, you'll just have to forgive me.

    Ritsuka: (She's a different one...)

    p11

Ritsuka: (Servants don't share memories of their other summonings. On the contrary, if she's been summoned by a different spellcaster, then it's natural that this Shuten Douji would be different from the one we know at Chaldea.)

Ritsuka: (Raikou must be the same...)

Shuten: Now, what did I tell you?

    p12

Shuten: We've all gone quite mad, you see. It doesn't matter whether we know you or like you.

    p13

    Inshun: Ugh!

Musashi: What is this... this sudden flood!? Magic!?

Ritsuka: (Is that her Noble Phantasm!? But she hasn't even invoked its true name!)

Shuten: My pure name is Berserker Saṃghāta. All will melt and disappear before me.

    p14

Ritsuka: (This is bad. At this rate...)

Ritsuka: (I have to do something. I have to!)

    Ritsuka: Whoa! Ahh!

    Ritsuka: (Ritsuka! Ritsuka!)

    p15-16

    Inshun: Everyone, get behind me!

    p17

Inshun: This is a fierce and unfamiliar battlefield. Once we lose the initiative, our defense will fail with it.

    Ritsuka: But-
Inshun: And I happen to excel in these situations.

Inshun: My Noble Phantasm can even counter opponents I'm facing for the first time. That's why... Well...

Inshun: I think I can buy you some time.

Inshun: Listen well. Leave this place in my care.

    p18

Inshun: Haha! I like that answer!

Inshun: If you flee, Musashi will follow. That's good enough.

Inshun: You'll need to carry both O-Nui and Tasuke.

    p19

    Inshun: Oboro-ura-zuki! Here goes!

    p20

Shuten: Oh. And I went through all that trouble...

Inshun: We're counting on you, Musashi.

    p21

    Musashi: !! Ritsuka!?

    Shuten: You can't run...
    Inshun: Hold it right there!

Inshun: Listen up, you devils who call yourself Swordmaster Heroic Spirits!

    p22

Inshun: You reek. Those who stink of blood as you do have no place in this era of peace!

Inshun: And I happen to be one well-suited to dealing with your kind!

    Musashi: I-Inshun-dono!

    Inshun: Go.

    p23

Musashi: We're in your debt, Inshun-dono!

Empyrio: Well, that works out for us.

Inshun: As one who reveres the Dharma, allow to give you a sermon or two!

    Read it here: https://pocket.shonenmagazine.com/ep...08156642978316

    p01

    Tamamo: Aaagh! I'm pooped!

    Mozart: Fine work, fellow Casters.
Tamamo: Water! Water! Gimme that sweet nectar!

Mozart: So, how fares our unconscious Master?
    Geronimo: Not well.

Geronimo: We can't figure out the cause of her coma.

    p02

Geronimo: Physically, she's in perfect health. Though, she is exhibiting her unique pattern of dreaming. Since we can't observe what she's seeing and we can't pinpoint the cause, we've given up for now.

Mozart: I see. That is indeed-
    Tamamo: NOT GOOD AT ALL!

Tamamo: Now's the time to redouble our efforts! I swear on my name as a good wifely Servant, I will rescue our Master!

Geronimo: Personally, I'm more worried about her...

    p03

Geronimo: They've been on this journey longer than any of us. I'm sure Mash is taking this the hardest.

    Shuten: Like I said, I didn't do a thing.

Shuten: Master was already laid out on the ground when I came into the room.

Da Vinci: So she says... Anything to add, Sasaki Kojirou-kun?

    p04

Kojirou: Master and Mash-dono were in the middle of a conversation about that woman Musashi.

Da Vinci: You mean that swordswoman Ritsuka-kun met in a dream?

Kojirou: I happened upon them just as the topic arose.

Mash: This is our data on the Book of Five Rings.
    Ritsuka: Oooh!

    p05

Mash: It's the legacy of the male Musashi in our world's human history.

    Ritsuka: Oh!
Mash: Senpai, from what you've told us about Musashi...

Mash: There must be two separate Musashis, female and male. I have to admit, the implications have me curious.

Kojirou: Hm, I see. And you're doing research about them.
    Mash: Yes.

    (heart pounding noises)
Kojirou: Ha ha ha! Don't look so shocked. (I just happened to pass by.)

    p06

Kojirou: That Book of Five Rings, eh? You've touched upon quite the mystery.

Kojirou: It's easily seen as a military text, an instructional manual in which Miyamoto Musashi recorded all of his swordsmanship and techniques. But beyond that, it presents itself as a riddle... The final volume reads more like a treatise on philosophy, you know.

Ritsuka: Oh yeah, Kojirou. You would know a lot about Musashi.

Kojirou: Might you be planning to summon said swordmaster to our Chaldea?
    Ritsuka: Well...

Ritsuka: I don't know very much about her, you see...
Ritsuka: I thought this might be a good chance to learn more.

    p07

    Kojirou: Oh?

Kojirou: If you don't know her well, then why declare her to be Miyamoto Musashi?

    Ritsuka: Huh? Uh...
Ritsuka: Because that's what she called herself.

Kojirou: How intriguing. A stranger names herself as Miyamoto Musashi, and you, my Master, believe her. Might I then assume that this Musashi recounted a portion of her legend to you, Ritsuka-dono?

    p08

Kojirou: "The Defeat of Kojirou," that is.

Kojirou: They are words inextricably linked with Musashi.
Kojirou: Having heard them, is that why you decided...

Kojirou: ...to call her Miyamoto Musashi?

    Ritsuka: No... She never mentioned...

Kojirou: I see. That is troubling, then, to hear that this woman Musashi has not yet attained Emptiness.

    Mash: Senp-

    p09

Holmes: Then, Miss Ritsuka suddenly collapsed, and sank into a coma of unknown etiology.

Holmes: According to Mash, this isn't even the first time it's happened...

Holmes: And what was the cause last time, I wonder?

    p10

    Dantes: Silence, Sherlock Holmes.

Holmes: You'll have to forgive me. After, it was all your fault, Count.
    Dantes: Hmph.

Holmes: As you know, Count of Monte Cristo, she is Chaldea's one and only Master. I will be continuing my investigation.

    Dantes: Do what you want.

Dantes: It's no concern of mine.

    p11

Holmes: (Well, that all but guarantees he'll give this his full attention. Next is to...)

    Meuniere: Mash...

    Mash: Senpai...

    p12

Shuten: Need a shoulder to cry on?

    Mash: No...

    p13

    Mash: No!

    Emiya: Talk about shock therapy.

Shuten: I wouldn't dream of it! I just wanted to cheer the girl up, you know. Besides, isn't that your job?

    Emiya: I wouldn't say that's called for.

Shuten: Oh, is Mama Bird finally letting the chick leave the roost?

Emiya: It looks like our Master is already trying her best. There's no need for me to step in.

    Shuten: You don't say.

Lower right: Command Spells glow. A fight to the death begins.

    Lower left: To Be Continued

Chapter 1: Thou, Who Passest Death's Door

    Not for commercial reuse.

    Read it here: https://pocket.shonenmagazine.com/ep...08156642978280

    p01

    The world was saved.

In 2016 C.E., a desperate battle across time and space ended, and humanity averted its destruction.
Now, we move on to a new story, with a new hero.

    p02

Chapter 1: Thou, Who Passest Death's Door

In a holy cave on Mount Kibou, an old man counted his final moments.

    p03

His name was Shinmen Musashi no Kami Fujiwara no Haranobu.

    Old Musashi: (God...)

    p04

Old Musashi: (Buddha... not yet. Give me time.)

Old Musashi: (At this point, I wouldn't sneer at the aid of devils or demons. I can't die yet.)

Old Musashi: (I won't be able to pursue my destiny in the pits of hell...)

Old Musashi: (I, who lived through an era of blood and war...)

Old Musashi: (To reach my final fate...)

    p05

Old Musashi: (Ah. If only this world were a living hell...)

    p06

    Ritsuka: (Where... am I?)

    p07

Ritsuka: (Am I dreaming? If not, then what...)

Ritsuka: (I was in Chaldea a moment ago.)

    Ritsuka: Da Vinci-chan! Meuniere-san! Mash!

    p08

    Ritsuka: Anyone!

    Ritsuka: Answer me, please!

    Mash: Senpai.

Mash: You told me before, that in a dream...

    p09

Mash: You met a female Miyamoto Musashi.

Ritsuka: Doesn't that sound crazy, Mash?
Mash: Heh heh. A little bit.

Ritsuka: (That's right, we were talking about her. Then a darkness...

    Ritsuka: (Covered my eyes...)

Mash: She must come from a different history than ours.

    p10

Mash: She might be a Musashi from another world subject to the Pruning Effect.

Mash: Not a Heroic Spirit, but a living woman, with the unique ability to travel across worlds.

Musashi: It's good to know that there's someone out there, watching over me... Thank you for that warm thought, Ritsuka.

    p11

    Ritsuka: Musa-

    p15

    Ritsuka: Mu-Musashi-chan!

Musashi: That's me! It's been a while, Ritsuka!

    p16

Musashi: The weather's nice, so I figured I'd sit down and have lunch here. I was just unwrapping my lunch, when...

Musashi: You suddenly fell from the sky. So I just had to catch you!

Ritsuka: Seriously, thank you so much. I thought I was dead for-
    (slap slap)
    Musashi: Ahaha! Don't sweat it!

Musashi: I'm happy to see you again, after all.

    p17

    Musashi: How've you been?

Ritsuka: (This is the Miyamoto Musashi that I know.)

Ritsuka: (A dual-wielding swordswoman, said to be Japan's greatest swordmaster.)

Ritsuka: (And we first met at...)
    Musashi: Onigashima!

    p18

Musashi: I've been to a bunch of worlds since then.
Musashi: From other Japans, to America! This quirk of mine is pretty troublesome, but I like it when I end up in places like this.

Ritsuka: I was surprised to hear you're on a journey across time and space.
Musashi: I mean, so are you, right?
Ritsuka: No! I mean, yes, but no!

Ritsuka: What I do is called a "rayshift."
Ritsuka: Chaldea's staff can choose the exact time and place to send me to. I think.
Background Ritsuka: Hey! A-Are you sure this is safe!?
    Background Meuniere: It's fine!
Background Ritsuka: WHOOOOOOOA THIS IS AMAZING!!!
Background Meuinere: Do you know how many times you've done this already!?

Ritsuka: Musashi-chan, you just pop out wherever!
    Musashi: (You wound me, madam!)

Musashi: So you travel to other worlds with a destination in mind?

    p19

    Ritsuka: (That was true, once.)

Ritsuka: (In the year 2016, human history was incinerated. "Fenix Chaldea," Agency For The Preservation of the Human Order, embarked on ray shifts to right that wrong.)

Ritsuka: (We fixed distortions across a number of eras, and then we defeated the King of Magic who was behind it all.)

Ritsuka: (Our objective should be complete...)

Ritsuka: (But strange things are still happening. I wonder why.)

    p20

Musashi: So, Ritsuka. Do you know which era you're in this time?

    Ritsuka: I have no idea.
    Musashi: No way.

    Ritsuka: Wait! I'll contact Chaldea!

Ritsuka: Sorry. I just popped in out of nowhere, too.
Musashi: Well, well. Who's the freak of nature, now?

Ritsuka: I remember talking to Mash...

    p21

Ritsuka: But then... I started dreaming...
Ritsuka: And when I came to, I was here.

Ritsuka: (But if I've met Musashi again, is this still a dream?)

Musashi: I've heard stories of people traveling to other worlds in dreams before. I wonder if that happens to mages a lot.

    Ritsuka: Mages?

Ritsuka: (Did I ever tell her that? No...)

    Ritsuka: What's so funny?

    p22

    Musashi: So you're telling me...
Musashi: You're lost in another world!

    Musashi: Just like me!

Musashi: Wow, we're like two peas in a pod!
Musashi: I just arrived in this Japan too, actually!

Musashi: Since we're in the same boat... Why don't we team up?

Musashi: So that I can continue my journey...

    p23

Ritsuka: And so that I can find a way home.
Musashi: A journey is best shared between friends!

Ritsuka: Then let's make this trip a good one, Musashi-chan!

    Musashi: Now, then...

Musashi: Come on out, you two. We won't bite.

    p24

    Nui: Ah. Um...

    Nui: Ah. Uh!

Ritsuka: Do you know them, Musashi-chan?
    Musashi: No?

Musashi: They were already here, so why don't we hear them out?

    Musashi: Hey.
Nui: You're not from around here, are you?

    Musashi: That's right. We're travelers.
Musashi: My family name is Miyamoto, and my given name is Musashi.

    p25

Musashi: We'd like to ask you a few questions...

    Nui: Wah! Wah!
Nui: Oh, my! You're a lady samurai!

Nui: Are you from Edo? You're so pretty, so I figured...

    Ritsuka: My name is Ritsuka.
Nui: Miss, are you a samurai too?
Ritsuka: W-Well, you could say that.

    p26

Nui: Um. I'm Nui, and this is my little brother Tasuke.

Nui: Are you going to the castle at Toke?
    Musashi: (Toke Castle?)

Ritsuka: Is there a castle there?
Nui: Yeah! It's half a day's walk if you take the roads.

Nui: It's the biggest town in Shimousanokuni! Even Lord Iemitsu of the Tokugawa praised it as a wonderful place!

    p27

Musashi: Ritsuka... What do you think?
Musashi: Does that fit your history?

Ritsuka: I... took world history as my elective.
    Musashi: Elective?

Musashi: Toke Castle ceased to exist by the time of the Toyotomi. And it's supposed to be in Kazukinokuni... why would that name still be around in the Tokugawa era?

Musashi: I've been to worlds where history diverged from my own world's...
Musashi: That must be the case this time, too.

Ritsuka: But we're definitely in Shimousanokuni of the Edo period. She said that much clearly, after all.

    *Musashi's stomach growling*

    p28

Musashi: O'Nui-chan, d-do you know if there's a tea house nearby?
    Ritsuka: (Sorry, that's my fault.)

Nui: You should come to Grandpa's house! Tasuke and I live there.

Nui: It's closer than the village tea house, and I can make tea for you there!
    Musashi and Ritsuka: Lucky us!

    p29

    Ritsuka: Huh?

    Ritsuka: The sky suddenly...

Nui: Is it going to rain?

    p30

Nui: Oh no, the laundry is still outside...

    Ritsuka: O'NUI-CHAN!

    p32

    Ritsuka: Wh-What the!?

    p33

Musashi: To think they would show up in this world...
Musashi: You've got the year all wrong, boys.

    Ritsuka: Musashi-chan! They're-
Musashi: Some kind of monster or demon. Either way, they shouldn't exist in the Tokugawa era.

Musashi: (They're clearly out for blood...)

Musashi: Stay back. I can handle this... one...

    p34

    Ritsuka: I'll back you up!

    p35

Ritsuka: (She's strong, no doubt about it!)

    Ritsuka: (But...)

    Musashi: Argh!

Ritsuka: (No matter how strong she is, she's only human! We need a Heroic Spirit!)

    p36

Ritsuka: My Command Spell isn't responding!?

    Ritsuka: (But why!?)
    Musashi: Ritsuka!

    p37

    Ritsuka: (No...)
    Ritsuka: (I know this.)
    Ritsuka: (I've seen it before.)
    Ritsuka: (Death.)

    p39

    Ritsuka: (What was that?)

    Inshun: Now, now.

    p40

Inshun: By some karmic twist, I stand upon the living world once again.

Inshun: I see monsters attacking good people under a shrouded sky.
Inshun: It is quite the eyesore.

Inshun: A few paces further, I spy a beautiful swordswoman and a strangely dressed youth.

Inshun: May I assume you know what's happening here?
    Ritsuka: U-Um...

    Ritsuka: Hey, behind you!

    p41

Inshun: Hahahaha! Not to worry, I have my guard up!

    Inshun: Can you stand?
    Ritsuka: Th-Thank you.

    p42

    Musashi: (What... was that...?)
Musashi: (He wiped out that swarm with a single sweep of his spear!)

Musashi: (His grip, footwork, stance, physique, execution, and breathing are all...)

    Musashi: And you are?
Musashi: I can see you've got some skills. Are you a traveler?

    Inshun: Well, I wonder...

    p43

Inshun: I am a Heroic Spirit engraved in the Human Order...
    Inshun: ...or so it seems.

Ritsuka: A Heroic Spirit!? Th-That means...

Inshun: Indeed! I am a Lancer!
Inshun: My name is Houzuin Inshun!

Musashi: "His spear reaches Buddha and the gods."

Musashi: The man who was said to have revived the Houzuin spear school after the death of its founder In'ei, a monk at Koufuku Temple in Nara.

    p44

    Musashi: You're that Inshun!?
    Inshun: That's me!
Musashi: And you're a... "Heroic Spirit?"
    Inshun: Yep!

Ritsuka: People who do amazing things are engraved in the Human Order,
Ritsuka: and mages can summon them as Heroic Spirits.
Musashi: Straight to the point. Thanks!

Nui: You're stronger than the ghosts, master monk!
Inshun: Ha ha ha! Not at all, O'Nui!

Inshun: I'm more impressed that you didn't shed a single tear instead of those monsters!

    Nui: *blushing*
    Inshun: Ha ha ha!

    p45

Musashi: (He was said to be the invincible fighter of the mountains...)

Musashi: (In every Japan I've visisted, I've yet to meet a living Inshun.)

Musashi: (And now, he's right in front of me!)

Musashi: (I want to fight him.
Musashi: His spear, and his martial arts!)

    p46

    Inshun: What's this?
Inshun: A woman you may be, yet that sword appears to be more than a traveling ornament...

Inshun: I can see that you are no indiscriminate killer, and you even made a sound with your sheath to challenge me. Just who are you?

    p47

    Inshun: Miyamoto Musashi!?
    Inshun: Of the Ni-ten-ichi-ryuu?
Musashi: Why are people always so surprised!?

Inshun: I hadn't heard you had grown to be so, um, plump...
    *jiggle*
    Ritsuka: Monk. Hey, monk!

Musashi: It probably means that I'm a Musashi from a different history than yours.

    Inshun: Huh.
Musashi: But I'm definitely Musashi! And I'd like to spar with you.

    Inshun: No.

    p48

Inshun: I'll decide whether you really are Musashi or not.

Inshun: Though I've taken a vow of celibacy, I still have passions.
Inshun: I couldn't bear to kill a flower as beautiful as you.

    Inshun: Besides...

Inshun: Not in front of the children.

    Ritsuka: By the way, Inshun-dono.
    Inshun: Hm?

Ritsuka: Were you really summoned without a summoner?

    p49

Inshun: Yes. Two days ago, I found myself standing in the yard of Katori Jingu. But I had a bad feeling about it, so I left the area as soon as possible.

Inshun: I was not furnished with much knowledge by my summons.
Inshun: All I know is that this is the sixteenth year of Kan'ei, in the reign of Tokugawa Iemitsu.

Musashi: 1639 A.D., huh. The year after the Shimabara Rebellion...

Inshun: That's right. I'm lacking all the important info! I don't know what I was called to this land to do!

    Musashi: So you're lost, Inshun-dono?
Musashi: That's exactly it! I'm like a lost child!

    p50

Ritsuka: (Monsters appearing in a warped version of history.)
    Ritsuka: (A lone Heroic Spirit...)

Ritsuka: (If they're all similar to the pasts I've traveled to before...)

Ritsuka: There might be a Holy Grail here.

    Musashi: Holy Grail?

    p51

Inshun: Those things said to be "omnipotent wishing machines"? They're supposed to have great magical power.
Ritsuka: Yeah. If that's here, then it could explain why the monsters are appearing, and why Heroic Spirits are showing up. If you haven't run out of magical energy yet, then it's quite likely.
    Ritsuka: What do you think?

Inshun: It's easy enough to accept, after seeing those monsters.

Ritsuka: Then we have to find it!

Ritsuka: There has to be someone here using a Grail. I can't possibly let that slide.

Ritsuka: And if we find it, that could help me find a way back to Chaldea.

    p52

Ritsuka: I'm sorry, Musashi-chan. This is something I have to do.

    Musashi: (You're incredible, you know.)
Musashi: (Most people don't say they "have to do" something so easily.)
Musashi: (Especially at the risk of their own lives.)

Inshun: I have nothing to do with this "Chaldea" of yours.
Inshun: So it's not as if I have a good reason to stay with you, but...

    p53

Inshun: The fact that we met here must be destiny.

Inshun: I'll entrust myself to you for the time being.
Inshun: Use my spear as you see fit.

Musashi: Excuse me! Don't forget that she's already got a bodyguard.

    Inshun: Are you coming too?
    Musashi: Obviously!

Musashi: I won't rest until I show this monk what I'm really made of! You're way more stubborn than you look!
Inshun: Ha ha ha! What a spirited fellow.

    p54

    ???: Now...
    ???: It has come...

    ???: The time has come.
???: Lower the curtain of night.

    p56

???: This is the beginning of the end for the world of men.

Ritsuka: Huh? The sky darkened again...

    Musashi: Inshun-dono! This is...
    Inshun: Yeah.

    Inshun: It's night!

Inshun: And a true night, besides! But...

    p57

Inshun: What is that crimson moon!?

    Inshun: Run!

    Musashi: I'll guard the rear!

    Inshun: Please do!

    p58

???: My ultimate working, the black arts of the Jesuits, has finally brought about the greatest of abominations.

???: Pawns made manifest, hailing from all across Time.

    p59

    Ritsuka: Whoa!
    Musashi: Inshun-dono!

    Inshun: Show yourselves!

Inshun: You must have some reason to aim for our lives!
    Inshun: Who are you!?

    p62

All: We, the Swordmaster Heroic Spirits
All: are demons, charged with utter extermination.

Musashi: (This feeling... they aren't human!)
    Inshun: (Servants!?)

    p63

Purgatorio: If I may, spearman and Master of Chaldea.
Purgatorio: You've no choice but to fall into our hands.

Ritsuka: Why did they point to me!?

    Inshun: Katagami!?

    p64

    Inshun: Oh, no! A spell!

    Ritsuka: (Come!)

Ritsuka: (The Command Spell isn't responding? That can't be! This...)

    p65

    Ritsuka: (This is my job!)

    p67

Staff: Blood pressure and heart rate are normal.
Staff: And... her other vitals are all normal too.

Da Vinci: We'll do everything we possibly can!
Da Vinci: This is a crisis!

    Mash: (Senpai...)

    p68

    BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.

In the depths of her consciousness, a new tale of destiny and conflict unfolds. For Ritsuka and Musashi, the bloody war has just begun!

I'll have to check later but I think it's from the end of Musashi's trial quest story.

Ah that's right, I wasn't looking too closely at the image.

btw this is one of those times where translating 英霊 as Heroic Spirit breaks down a bit because in this case it is an unfamiliar use of a real word in Japanese that normally means something like "spirits of the war dead."

Why would you edit them out? Leave them in!

Chapter 4 was posted early today and I will get cracking on it tonight. Fairly short so expect it soon!

Because it's an English translation and if you want untranslated Japanese, you should just read the Japanese.

They are helpful for giving context on relationships though. I left them in because I'm lazy, it would just take significantly more time and effort to write everything to a level that I would be satisfied taking out the honorifics.

    Chapter 4: Dark Dreams (1)

Chapter 3 should now be free to read.

Next planned update is 19 March 2019.

    -------------------------------------------------

    Read it here: https://pocket.shonenmagazine.com/ep...08156645225833

    p01

    Original Work: TYPE-MOON
    Comic: Watarei

    Empyrio: Now...

    Empyrio: Die, Houzuin Inshun.

    Chapter 4: Dark Dreams (1)

Inshun: (I know this is probably futile.)

Inshun: (But I won't be reckless about it.)

Sidebar: A mortal duel between sword devil and godspear! Does Inshun have a chance?

    p02

Inshun: (I'll take one of them out, right here!)

    p03

    Inshun: Fh!

Narration: Even when facing an opponent for the first time,

    p04

Narration: Inshun is at no disadvantage.
Narration: He can handle any foe or technique, and answer not just with defense, but with a certain, lethal blow!

Narration: Such is his unrivaled spearsmanship.

    p06

Inshun: I've pierced your heart. Farewell, nameless sword devil.

    Empyrio: I believe...

    p07

Empyrio: that is a slight misjudgment.

Empyrio: You thought you could reach me with techniques considered peerless in the mere realm of men?

    p08

    Inshun: Gah...
    Insun: Argh!

Inshun: (Impossible! Any man... no, even a Servant should have died...)
Inshun: (He shouldn't be able to move!)

Inshun: (I'm sure my spear crushed his spiritual core...)

Empyrio: My Pure Name is Saber Empyrio.
Empyrio: Alas, my blade has already reached
    Empyrio: Empyrio, the highest heaven.

    p09

    Inshun: What!?

Limbo: Snaring a keen prey like you is hard work indeed!
    (Ha ha ha ha!)

Inshun: (I'm under some kind of curse!)

Limbo: We can't have you running amok. So you are the Servant summoned to Katori...
    Limbo: Good... good!

    p10

Limbo: After all, you're none other than the seventh Swordmaster Heroic Spirit!

    Limbo: I, Limbo,
    Limbo: shall remake you anew...

    p11

    Inshun: (My... spiritual core...)

    Inshun: (My spiritual base
    Inshun: and my will...)

Inshun: (They're all, all, all, all...!)

    p12

    Inshun: (My spear...)

Inshun: (I'm certain it struck home.)

Inshun: (Any living creature, even a Servant, would have died instantly.)

    Inshun: (Something greater is needed
    Inshun: to slay him!)

    Inshun: (Musashi, Ritsuka...
    Inshun: you must flee!)

    p13

Text: Next chapter, Musashi confronts Karma itself.

    Text: To Be Continued

    Sure, PM me.

    - - - Updated - - -

I have no experience cleaning and typesetting anything though so I would have no idea what to do about replacing out-of-box text like official publishers or high-quality fan groups do.

Go ahead, but it would be better to translate from Japanese directly instead of using a translation of a translation.
