Been looking forward to this, thanks! Will report any bugs I come across when I have some time to try it out at some point in the week, if not tonight.

Anyway, I did in fact have a legit crash during the hotsprings extra scene while I was fiddling around with various window size, quality, and display resolution and refresh rate settings, but I've been unable to reproduce the issue (though I'm not 100% sure exactly what I did to cause it - I did something like switch from low & normal @ fullscreen, to high, then to wide, and then it crashed):

I have the same error when i try to go to movie menu, maybe because i have the savegame from HF and UBW all done except for the Fate route, no idea.

I'm having trouble getting past a certain part of the installation. How do I merge the three source folders?

This is what the folder for Realta Nua looks like for me:

Well this one is interesting. What os are you using? I may not get back to you until tomorrow morning (+10 hours from now) but this I'll look into. There is supposed to be a box that says browse so you can select where the route is installed. As for the out of triangles it seems the cursor isn't fully switching over. You may notice a cut off triangle cursor. For now just restart the game.

While I'm on Windows 7 rather than your Win8-or-newer OS, I couldn't help but notice that the text was considerably larger than what I have - perhaps even 50% larger.

So is your OS using any sort of text scaling or DPI scaling? If so, then perhaps try right-clicking on the installer's EXE, going to "properties", then the "Compatibility" tab, and then checking the box next to "disable display scaling on high DPI settings".

(also you bought the non-Ryzen version of the x360? For shame!...err, I mean, sure whatever...)

I was able to get past that step (disabling display scaling,) so thanks for that.
I've run into a new problem, however. I merge the three folders, select my destination folder, and then receive an error:

So it seems that the installer doesn't have proper handling of DPI scaling...

I would think the best solution for a v0.9.1 of the installer (assuming my previously-mentioned folder arrangement idea gets implemented) would maybe be to just disable hiDPI functionality in the installer altogether and let the OS treat it as any old non-hiDPI application.

I can't help but notice that your available free space is literally ~10MB more than what it says is required...

I don't suppose that the issue will go away if you free up some disk space? (the easiest thing to do first off would be emptying the recycle bin seeing as your screenshot shows that there's stuff in it)

Nobody else seems to have noticed it so I'll point it out. Why do you have the three route exes outside their folders and why is there one data.xp3 outside it as well?

Those are likely the cracked EXEs which obviously come separately from the three VN routes themselves.

However, the data.xp3 that the error in question is looking for could very possibly be the data.xp3 that's sitting next to said EXEs. This possibly means that it got moved out from one of said folders and needs to be put back into whichever folder is missing a "data.xp3" file.

Yes but not having properly implemented the cracks would be one reason the installer is turning up errors. I should also note that each crack comes with its own version of data.xp3 hence they reason I asked about there only being one, because it's Saber Alter accidentally overwrote two of the other cracked data.xp3's while trying to put them into the same folder.

Just freed up a good amount of space and moved the cracked EXEs into their folders just in case, and I'm still running into the same error.

Yeah, I did accidentally overwrite both of them.

Looking at the "Date modified" and comparing it to my own copies of data.xp3, it looks like that random data.xp3 archive is in fact the one that's supposed to be in the Fate route's folder.

So if there is a data.xp3 file in there already, then rename the pre-existing file to something like data.xp3_BAK and then move the data.xp3 archive that was next to the cracked EXEs into the Fate route's program folder.

You'll probably need to re-acquire them and properly place them into the folders they belong. In fact I'm pretty sure the reason they're in the crack is that the games don't come with them because of how the verification works or something, hence why the cracks have to provide them.

I retrieved the other data.xp3 files and successfully installed the Ultimate Edition, but I don't know how to start the game up. I didn't see any new files after installing.

The installer should have asked you to choose a directory for installation. It should be located there.

By default the installer should create a start menu shortcut.

(interestingly it also gives the option to create a desktop shortcut, but by default it is unchecked - Jack, Anon, is this being unchecked by default in fact the correct behavior? Because I would have expected it to be checked by default...)

Speaking of installer things that I want to ask Jack or Anon about, just why do we need an installer specifically for 64bit anyway? I mean, the VN itself is 32bit and the only required library, visual c++ 2015, needs the 32bit version anyway...

So what exactly is the benefit of the 64bit installer? I mean, in my testing, the 32bit version of the installer seemed to work perfectly fine on my 64bit OS. What am I missing here? It wouldn't happen to be a UAC thing, would it? (I have that disabled on my PC)

Well I was originally doing only 64 bit and added 32 bit as an afterthought. I'm actually going out of my way to make a 32 bit one.

Game is working now, but I have a question: Is there any way I can load my save data from the previous patch in this version? The files show up when I press the Load button, and then an error message shows up whenever I try to load them. Does that have to do with the fact that the routes have to be played in order in this version? Should I try skipping through the prologue before trying to load save data?

I only got to play for a couple of minutes, but I think I came across a bug. I tried changing the text and window settings from the in-game option menu, and I got this error message:

It doesn't crash the game. If I hit "OK" and try to confirm my setting changes again, it pops up again. If I cancel my changes, everything seemingly goes as normal.

Apologies if it's been mentioned before in the thread, or if it's in the OP and I somehow missed it.

As an aside, this is probably more of a question for the old release, but is there a way to make text and effects not appear instantly when re-reading, as if I was reading for the first time?

    I'd encountered the same issue.
