OK that teacher show will have an age restriction on AT-X. That means, uncensored. And the director is an ecchi genius. Season is saved

Wow what the HECK somehow completely slept on sarazanmai being an Ikuhara original.
guess its getting elevated to definitely checking out status.
so is the main girl in Million Arthur what happens when nero and jeanne do the fusion dance? AND she's voiced by sora amamiya? cool, but, actually eh, boring.
i would say the only things worth watching this season look to be OPM s2 and AoT s3pt2, but then, we have it, the true holy grail of animu, Miru Tights.

I'm curious what's up with romance tag on Carol & Tuesday, since the synopsis and pvs didn't give me any hint. I guess either a romance between the two girls or with one of those two boys who showed up in pv.
Regardless, it looks like an interesting music series, I like how far they've been going to make it have foreign vibe.
I'm more than ready for AOTS.
My Fanfics. Read 'em. Or not.McJon01: We all know that the real reason Archer would lose to Rider is because the events of his own Holy Grail War left him with a particular weakness toward "older sister" types.
Ooh, Senko-san, Senryu Girl, and Hitoribocchi
That's some good stuff
Wow OPM trailer looks ass
Which studio is it?

So I gave the first episode of Yu-No a shot. It feels like the anime version of Steins; Gate. I know it was made 10+ years beforehand, but it feels like someone thought Steins; Gate was too subtle and wanted to cram in every anime trope they could. Lecherous MC, Fetish outfit teacher, seducing secretary, they even trade up the stereotypical non-blood related sister for the step-mom.

It's an old VN and is what made the medium go from dating sims to finally have a plot focus. It's from 1996, so some dated stuff may show (the only modern thing the remake added would be removing the H scenes and the designs), so some stuff may be dated but people claim it still holds up and I'm willing to trust them.
Even if the anime fucks up, I have the 1996 VN installed and ready to go.
I'm not exhaggerating when I say without Yu-No, this place wouldn't exist, as Tsukihime and F/SN would probably have never been made. It of course also inspired S;G

I can see all of that, but it's really weird to see something from 25 years ago, that basically echo's all the trashiest things of today. I guess it's chalked up to circular nature of art, "Everything old is new again" and all. But normally in things like this you can see where the tropes are still forming, where the characters don't fit perfectly into a mold yet and have a little more variation to them, or the studio goes for a retro style to emulate the time it was originally made. Here, if you were to tell me that this VN/game came out last year, I'd believe it since everything is so contemporary.

The original VN felt like pure 90s to me. Might be affected by the visual flair though. Anyway I thought the MC definitely was an old school eroge type, the modern template is donkan fuccboi.

Sure, but as far as I'm aware the remake's only changes are the character design and removing sex scenes (also, the OST should have been remixed too). The actual plot and characterization (which Mattias is talking about too) should be unchanged from the 1996 original. So, the only thing in the anime that is actually modern are the character designs and maybe the OST. Of course, adaptation choices could be called modern, I guess, depending on the degree on which it falls into the modern pitfalls of VN adaptations (like rushed plot and characterization, bland presentation or messing up trying to deliver in a single linear narrative plot and characterization from multiple different routes because anime is a different medium from VNs and people expect a single linear narrative to cover everything)
But, hey, it can't be worse than the 1998 OVAs

Imo if you’re genuinely interested in YU-NO you should just forget the anime and jump straight to the VN. Trying to manually navigate through the timelines with the in-game timeline tree is a part of the experience and I think this is a lot trickier to adapt than the average VN, but the staff the show is blessed with is... eeeh. And this is pure opinion but the remake looks soulless as fuck while the old one is stylish, iconic and timeless.
oh and MC was voiced by Nobuyuki Hiyama how fuckng sick is that?
The problem is the VN looks too complex for my idiot brain. What waklthroughs I found scare the shit out of me. I'll watch this adaptation and maybe read the VN. If it was more traditional with choices and normal saving, I wouldn't mind so much. But yeah, as it is, I honestly think I'm too stupid to clear Yu-No (the VN), so the anime is my hope even if I'm missing a classic experience. I'll admit, the walkthrough included with the release I downloaded looks clearer, but it still scares me

I'm sure if you tried playing it things would clear up a lot. The walkthroughs look messy if you look at the entire thing at once, esp without being familiar with the game.
Anyway I don't wanna be that super persistent guy who whines about muh casuals not playing the VN so I'm just gonna leave it at that.
