Fucking hell, those are huge losses. Then again, I heard some rumor that there are no EVs and IVs anymore? That might explain Hidden Power's loss.

EV's and IV's are definitely still a thing. There's a trailer that specifically shows off how EV boosting items no longer have a limit to how many can be used on a single pokemon, and pokemon with max IV's and egg moves can appear in the Wild Area. The latter are indicated by a yellow aura around them.

The trailer is actually further up on this page, and the thing about IV's is mentioned in this IGN article.

There's a Switch issue (it's not a SwSh issue, FE3H had this too) where playing the game digitally and saved on an SD card may cause autosave to bug out and delete other things you have on the SD card. To be clear, it does NOT delete save data since that is stored elsewhere. The worst that happens is you may need to redownload some games. Apparently disabling autosave should fix it until Nintendo releases a patch to fix it at its source. Also, playing on the Switch's native storage instead of an external SD card should also be fine? And this is all digital, physical doesn't have the issue at all.

I'm at 3 badges and am enjoying it. But, I mean, it's a Pokemon game. If you've played one you've played them all. This one has some really nice QOL improvements that had better stick for the rest of the series though, like being able to swap a newly caught mon with someone in your party right after catching it instead of needing to go to the PC. Move deleter/relearner and name rater in every Center are also really nice.

My favorite aspect so far absolutely has to be the way gyms are portrayed. Mechanically there's no difference but it's all about the atmosphere. Seeing dozens of other trainers at the entrance ceremony, the crowds cheering during the battle with the leader, the music changing when the leader sends out their ace, and having fans cheering for you in the lobby after you win - it all comes together to make gym battles really hype moments. I'm a big fan.
