But I still prefer Mega Evolution
If we don't have a Giga Pikachu versus Giga Meowth in the anime then I will be very disappointed. :/

Gen 1 pandering. Yea glad that I'm not gonna buy main series anymore. Stick with the DS gen

From a competitive standpoint, this actually isn't a bad thing, since several Gen 1 Pokemon have fallen behind due to several generations worth of powercreep. It's honestly a way to balance things out. Maybe some Gen 2 Pokemon might get this treatment soon.
Hidden Abilities were a great way to give old mons new life without all the unnecessary pandering, not to mention that movesets and stats are never set in stone between generational shifts. To be frank, I don't care about this that much, it's just obnoxiously transparent and there's very little substance beyond "hey u guys like gen 1 right?" As for competitive balancing as an excuse, that'd be all well and good if they applied those same principles to newer pokes. I disagree with the notion that older gens got powercreeped, especially after the advent of the physical/special split and dream world abilities.
Hidden Abilities were generally a mixed bag, though it is true movepool changes have done a lot to rescue Pokemon from the scrap heap. As for stats, after Gen II, those have remained set in stone, and often, they tend to hobble Pokemon more than anything else. Megas, with their Stat boosts and ability changes, typically gave Pokemon long shuttered off to the lower tiers a new lease at life. I mean, look at Kangaskhan, Beedrill, Pidgeot, and to a lesser extent, Slowbro. Also, powercreep across generations is a well-documented, well-defined phenomenon, especially in Gen V, when many amazing newer Pokemon were introduced that basically shifted the entire OU tier of the previous gen to UU. In Gen IV, more Pokemon came around with a base 95 speed, and in Gen V, that speed marker was no longer considered top-tier speed. While it is Gen 1 pandering, these alternate forms have typically been given to Pokemon that really were not good prior to receiving them, Gengar being the exception.

I do agree that more of this treatment should be given to Pokemon introduced Gen IV and later.
Gen 1 definitely got powercrept, especially in stat min maxing for their roles. But circus gimmicks are not the way to make them viable, since this is probably a temporary meme and will be gone in a couple gens. besides the mons that have gotten gigantameme are popular mascots anyway, so I cant see this as an attempt to balance anything.
It's just to draw genwanner to the new gen. Let's Go, gen 1 starter not long after starting the game of Kalos and free Lapras! (why the fuck), Alolan gen 1 only, and now this
Yeaaaa if they don't make gen 5 too linear route wise and have better design Pokemon, they shouldn't get such backlash. Gen 6 become easy shit with none of the gym leader has full move for their pokemon (yes, they only have 3 moves) and sudden exp share for everyone in the bag.
Gen 7 feel so boring with tutorial all the way, with too many not important cutscene that doesn't even build the plot and too many uninteresting wild pokemon from previous gen (ledyba? Inkai? wingul? Slowpoke? Feel like ROMhack pokemon on new gen since one route can contain so many different pokemon and they don't even put them in the right area) . I don't bother to finish it
feel they stop trying to make a good single player experience after gen 5
I'm not even mad of Dexit, since I don't really care about all collecting, I only level up the useful one

Mmh, is cool and everything, buuuuut in the end, I don't think I'll be buying a Switch Lite only for the Pokemon games (and Fate/Extella maybe). In their time, I actually did that with the 3DS, and the only games that I owned are the Pokemon ones, one of each, X, ORAS, Moon and Ultra Moon. 4 games in all these years, actually I don't think the investment I make in the console was all that great.
The reason why I didn't buy new games is because my income source is saddly unstable at best and not existent at worst. The handheld was expensive and the games are also expensive, damn I remember the good day when the GBA SP costed half or least than that and the games like a 1/3 of the 3DS ones, it sad me to no end. I want a handheld I can come back in the future, whereas my SP die with the pace of time and the Original DS was damaged, for that the 3DS is good in that aspect for it is resistant, more that those two. The only problem is the lack of games.
Hacking the 3DS is possible, but the actual Nintendo security makes it so nowadays in unsecure, difficult and more than that, annoying. A R4 equivalent to 3DS is fucking expensive (more so that I'm ready to pay), not 100% perfect and I think needs the damn thing hacked. So in total I only own 4 games for the 3DS (5 if I get the Mario Maker for my birthday soon as the last game of the handheld). As to all the functions of the 3DS aside of gaming, I don't give a crap about them, never did it. I want a haldheld to play damn games.
For that I conclude that I will not be buying the Switch Lite and with that I'll be skipping Pokemon SwSh and if the situation continues without change all Pokemon games for now? The damn thing is EXPENSIVE, like the games, obviosly more than their ancestor and more that a cheapstake as me is ready to pay.
My two options as of now are, have the luck to spot and get a Switch Lite of a pawnshop or wait some years until good friends can make possible a decent Switch emulator and in the future I can purchase a laptop with the processing power to run the games. It will sad that I couldn't play it in their prime and with everyone else, share impressions and the like but well, that is the situation.
Well for now I think I'll be watching the gameplay in youtube to not being so out the loop as in the Gen V (I still haven't played BW2) and playing all the retrogames and the like that I have never touched for years but now I have an excuse. Time to dust off the PSP (best handheld) and the NDS 2nd Gen.
Sorry for the rant, I needed get it out of my mind ASAP.
