Miss Jarman said viciously: 'You must reallywant your money.'
'No.' Harvey shook his head wearily. 'It's not that, honey. He wants to be Caneton. And nobody ever beat Caneton. Yet.'
I said quickly: 'Bring the car through in fifteen minutes. Unless you hear shooting. Then you can decide for yourself.'
I walked away down the bank to the right, looking for the entrance to the communication trench. I found it and turned in.

Well, except for Paitouch maybe. But he might scare them off.

Unless you're a high school student whose budget is becoming strained in the aftermath of WF.
...Or so I was going to say, but then I remembered Caltech paid me $70 (+free snacks) for just talking to someone and filling out questionnaires, and promised another $50 once they get around to the mRIs. It probably says something when being a human subject pays better than work that requires actual effort.

Wait what WHERE DID MCJON GO
First food and now Mcjon. Pai has already fled for refuge. I'm not sure what to do anymore. :/
Bear the dreams of all us perverted non moonrune speaking neckbeards.

@mew
go read the announcements and stuff.
BEHOLD! THE SIG OF GOLDEN TRUTH! Pillaged from McJon, Tsukikan et al.
we believe in you Reiu, Ossan approves!
@deaddrunk
Thank you for your additional description. Now I understand what you would like to say. However, let's think again. For example, McDonald's pay for part timer is 1,000 JPY(High School Student is 950 JPY) at Shibuya, Tokyo.
http://www.mcdonalds.co.jp/recruit/crew/shop/d_13146
If you will get 1,000 JPY per hour by this translation work, you should translate 1,000/60 = 16.6666 -> 17 characters/minute. I think it is not so difficult translation rate and most important point is no need to work at shop. No need pay your money to move to shop for work. You may work at your home. I agree with you this translation work should do as a part time job, not a full time job(^^;.

Ossan, it's a ridiculous rate. 人間扱いしてないみたいな単価だぞ。
The typical output speed of a pro translator is going to be 二枚(400文字の原稿用紙のやつ) per hour, at best.
800 yen per hour my ass. And that's going to be for work that doesn't require thinking.
And if it's reasonably difficult material where you end up getting only one of those pages done, you can expect oh wow, 400 yen for an hour of your time! I can buy a piece of bread with that! 8 pieces even if I spend a full working day on translating!
Spoiler:

@AmADo VII and all(because if I will use Japanese, only few people will read my post)
I think Reiu is a kind of "The Right Stuff" for this work because some condition as follows:
--- start ---
以下のような方探しています!
2行目:日本の文化やモバイルゲーム、アプリなどに興味のある人、理解のある人
3行目:※今は女性向けの恋愛シュミレーションゲームが多いです
--- end ---
--- start ---
We want (a) stuff as follows!:
Line 2: Person who is understanding/interest in Japanese culture, Japanese mobile game, Japanese application software.
Line 3: At this moment, main task is romance simulation game for women.
--- end ---
However, this ad has a big trap (and difficult to read by non-native Japanese because this line hid partially).
--- start ---
ボリューム:案件によって異なりますが数万~数十万語などまとまった仕事があります
--- end ---
--- start ---
Volume: It is depend on task, some task will from some(x2-3?) 10k to some(x2-3?) 100k words.
--- end ---
I don't know about due date, but I guess translation rate (for example, words/day) will be too big. Finally, my comment is close to deaddrunk by another reason (^^;.

How many characters are there in DDD?
Sounds legitMany different kinds of heroes will appear - and with their variety of personalities, they will each be unique in speech and conduct. Will you be able to bring out the charm of each character?
Based on the dialogue chosen in-game, the user may be led to heart-thumping happy endings! For our users - and your own fulfilment - it's up to you to translate these moments properly!
I'm sorry this is a BBS of Japanese, not English-Nativies BBS.
http://komachi.yomiuri.co.jp/t/2011/...32.htm?o=0&p=1
However, this BBS, In worst case one person translate Japanese to English to get from 50,000 JPY to 100,000 JPY per month in US.
Rate is looks like 1 word = 15 JPY but by my guess(if ”単価” = 1 word).
