Well, that's also what "green" means in English.

A Japanese saying matching up well with an English one, duuuuuuude

Utopia ~ wonderland =/= amusement park

Choosing "Verdant Wonderland" because it kind of rhymes lol. The first issue with Zouken team is actually the one I need more help on, though.

A lot of amusement parks are called "wonderland", that's where that idea was from.

Also "wonderland" =/= "utopia" if you go by the source Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

But now this is going into pedantry.

What is the context for "蟲死キング"?

Just a little word. I hope someone can help me.

    星の頭脳体。
What does this mean? Or, to be precise, how can it be translated so that it makes sense in context? I can't seem to make sense of it. Even with Rikaichan and online translators.

It helps to have the context if you want a translation that makes sense in context.

It's from Princess Arc's profile. But unfortunately that's all there is to it. There isn't much context, only this other small phrase.

The rest is all stuff we already knew; "TA of highest degree of purity, etc".

Ah. Dammit, I knew it had to be some kind of pun off of mushi, but I had no idea what it could be referencing. <_<

In any case, good luck to whoever's going to try to make something sound catchy from that.

You know the duty of a translator is to get every minute detail conveyed to the reader. In this case, you must do this, in the spirit of good translation.

Whoever's going to fansub the Fate/Zero anime should do this every time a Noble Phantasm is whipped out - and to ensure maximum lulz/trollage/whatever, it has to be copy-pasted direct from the TM wiki.

Hello all. I'm working on my own edited subs for Kara no Kyoukai and atm I've hit that: "nante, shiawase no otoko." (sp?)

I know what she means, but it's exceedingly hard to say a similar kind of sentence in English. Any recommendations on a good word to use?

My thesaurus trawling comes up with:
    blissful
    content
    contented
    fortunate
    favored
There's also "carefree" from the gg-Takajun subs.

They kind of communicate it, but not really - so any ideas or even opinions on what is best?

To be honest, in the KnK context, I might go with "blessed." I'd say "endowed" but then we'd get jokes about manhood...

I like "fortunate" I guess but I don't know the context.

    Yeah, I dropped endowed from my selection ^^;

Shiki says it twice in the movies. Once when Kokutou's been camping outside her room to make sure she's not out killing and once near the end when over the phone he's telling her not to kill Lio and declares that she isn't a killer because she's kind.

The expression I guess communicates her sentiment that "this guy must have a happy and fulfilled life to worry about my life all the damn time."

Well, and also, he's pure and normal enough to think that there's a happy ending to everything. Which is probably why gg-Taka went "carefree."
