While Rin is more likely to mess up the scenario in a bad way this way, IE jump the gun and cause an attack before the barrier is up, but I think Rin needs the full setting. The spooky forest, the grim stonecutters knowing that they are going off to victory or to be never seen again. In no way should this start after the first blast, that would cause Rin to panic right off the bat.

Choice 126: What are the Victory Conditions? That is, at what point should Rin be considered to have completed the scenario successfully?
[ ] If she survives all the way to the end (minimum requirement)
[ ] If she and the others all survive, as per what happened in the actual battle
[ ] If she and the others not only survive, but do better than the original (win w/o needing centaur or Lockhart interventions)
[ ] Rin needs to earn a certain amount of points in one run (write-in point breakdown and scoring criteria)

Gives her a an idea of what protect the NPC missions mean, as well as experimenting the loss of comrades during repeats.
It should be awful enough that she won't want that to happen irl to her squadmates or a VIP under their protection.

Defeating scenario without any help along with all of them surviving is extremely hard. Rin has no rapport with the others or know what abilities they have.

...not the easiest condition, I admit, since all it takes is one misstep for someone to die. Still, not the worst case scenario for her. In that case, let us begin...
Choice 127: The scenario begins as George and Fred are hard at work prepping the barrier, with Luna hanging back, perched in a tree, keeping watch, and Hillard and Shinji raising a fort of earth.

Using gems to make minefield is a waste but it will have Rin think creatively how to use the rest of her equipment. She will still have some of her stronger gems for emergency situation. Altering the ground to be more solid was my second choice but not sure how effective that will hold off army of spiders.
