This is why holy wars happen. So many interpretations of basically the same scripture. But yes, lawful good paladins are about as common as chaotic evil dark elves. As for undead, the web RPG, AdventureQuest, which started off as pretty much based on Dungeons and Dragons (that's where I found so many of those annoying types of paladins), now has this to say in more recent games: "Undeath is a different form of life and is neither inherently good nor inherently evil." Heck, IIRC, Dungeons and Dragons has mummies, based on ancient Egypt, obviously, as evil creatures of light, but I think that I had already previously established what I thought about that, what with Moses basically only being a successful Amakusa because Ozymandias was too nice.
I assume you mean "not very"?

And for that I'm grateful, old paladins were a super abusable magnet for disruptive players.
(I mean, they were a good, flavorful choice for players who liked to challenge themselves to playing a character under some constraints, which is GOOD ROLEPLAYING and all. But too often they just encouraged jerks to be jerks)

don't quote me on this
I mean, you can find twenty horribly played Chaotic Stupid Bards for every good one too, I still don't know why Paladins and only Paladins attract this kind of attention. But we should probably take this to the Tabletop thread.

I'm up against all takers. Defending Paladins since BoED.

Going back to anime, Kichou in Wakaki Nobunaga is supposed to be a guy? Doesn't that make Ranmaru redundant?
Did not expect to ever see Rick Rubin in an anime but here we are. Carole & Tuesday is some shit.

Novel by Shoji Gatoh, apparently (the FMP author).

I'm actually really confused by that. He's a man who everyone knows as a woman, but dresses like a female ninja for covert ops. Wouldn't the best way to hide your identity to be dressed as a man so no one connects your civilian identity to the spy one.
And I'm not just saying that because I want to see anime Victor/Victoria.

I've played Oblivion, yes. I still don't see where this is relevant.
Undead in D&D are literally a blight upon the land (they are animated via a link Negative Energy Plane). They are not just "a different kind of life". You can't draw parallels between an Undead-slaying Paladin or Cleric and a run ofn the mill nutcase who wants to kill people.

Then you should know that, in Elder Scrolls, humans from the viewpoint of the elven creation myth literally read like some kind of demonic horde.
Not sure where you're going with this.
I feel like that that particular gender bend was just done at the last minute for more yaoi. Again, not my type of series really, despite giving us Nobunaga with glasses. I would much prefer Fate Nobu with glasses.
Wow, that third episode of Cop Craft. It like the animation studio is falling apart before your eyes. I can take the breakneck plot speed and sudden, unforeshadowed double cross for no good reason, because anime, but those "fight" scenes are horrific. Two physical clashes followed by three lingering still shots, SFX out of sync with the action, it's a mess.
Then there's BEM which is the complete opposite end of the spectrum, with a nonsense plot but the action is decent. Maybe if you combined the two you'd get a proper anime out of it. Or you'd get a complete wreck of plot and action, like Arifureta.
