What is this?
Tethers is a new RP I've been formulating in my free time for a while now. Disclaimer: I promise nothing.
The basic overview is that of your typical isekai anime. You- for whatever reason- have died and will be presented with a chance to salvage the circumstance. In exchange, you and the other players will first have to travel to an alternate world to combat the evils present there. Super powers included. Succeed and you will be able to return to your world in a manner of your choice. As stated above, not a bad deal.
Don't expect a complex plot. There's some depth for those who seek it, but this will mostly be a vehicle to have a bit of fun after work, school, and so on. Basically, I'll do what I want when I want it.
Anyway...
What to expect
Shonen nonsense. Grown people acting like idiots. More nonsense. Waifus? Husbandos?

At least 7. No more than 15.

At minimum 2-3 updates a week. Daily if activity is high.

Character Abilities and Mechanics
Tethers will be using a system unlike anything else on BL. While individual characters will have their own powers and abilities, they will not have their own MP pool. Instead, their MP comes from the governing goddess that fuels their abilities. On their own, characters will be able to harness a small portion of this pool to use the basic extent of their powers. However, by "linking up" with other players, it is possible to gain access to an even larger shared pool. To put it simply, think of it this way. A single individual can access about 100 MP on their own. By "linking" with another person, the two of them now have access to a shared 350 MP. This can be done until up to 5 people are linked.
Furthermore, linking also has the added bonus of boosting your power. Not simply in the sense of your physical capabilities, but also in terms of the powers granted to you by the goddess. As the divine power that forms these powers is gathered and focused, abilities evolve and move one step closer to their true nature.
Sound too good to be true? All gain and no loss? Well, it should be mentioned that when linked, everyone shares damage. And not in slap on the wrist way. If 5 people are linked and one person takes 20 damage, that means everyone takes 100 damage (20 for each person).
As your goddess grows in power, so will you. In the meantime, don't be afraid to balance risk and reward. Linking has a few more surprises in store for you and your friends.

What kind of power you want Powers are split into Grades 1-5. Grade 1 is your base power while 2-5 are its advanced forms achieved through linking. Grade does not determine cost! So you crazies thinking about that busted conceptual power better think wisely. Furthermore, only the base power is required at character creation. Should you choose, you can create further grades later during the game. However doing so in this manner will be met with more scrutiny.

Are all the people who died from earth or could some of them have been from other worlds as well (with, say, magic or super-science or whatnot)? In other words does this work by Mondaiji-Tachi rules?

The world you come from doesn't matter, but you won't get any extra powers or "perks" by coming from a fantasy world.
