So the only reason Midoriya was able to touch Eri in the end was because he damaging his body faster than she could rewind it. Man, that's pretty smart and cool at the same time. I like how Tamaki was able to save Eraserhead in the end, that was a cool moment too.
I can't believe Shigaraki actually intercepted the police escort, crippled Overhaul and took both versions of the drug. That's very bad, the drug could somehow still have use in the future. Overhaul was a great villain, probably my favorite in the show so far. I'm very interested in seeing how they're going to top a guy that could dissemble and reassemble matter.

Sir Nighteye's fate... I can't believe it, I never thought that he would... He might have had a hole in his chest but..., it's so.... I wasn't a fan of his at first, but I was really starting to like him... I'm just happy that he got to talk to All Might and all of the other people that cared about him in the end.

What was his real name? They never said it in the anime.

Ishuzoku Reviewers keeps proving it's anime of the year material. Holy shit, this show is fucking amazing.

Agreed. It's over the top lewd humor that somehow manages to keep banging out interesting jokes, even though there really isn't much more to them than "Big tits!" or "tentacles!". The short format works in the show's favor here, as having two or three arcs per episode means they can toss out a quickie humorous scene and then move on before it overstays its welcome.
If the Ishuzoku Reviewers can keep up this pace until it finishes, it will certainly be a contender for Anime of the Year. If it manages to add a real story and an interesting climax to the season (something it has hinted at), it could end up as one of the great anime of all time.

Although, I do hope that "Everyone stops, and turns to look at Crim" doesn't become a running gag...

So I'm on episode 3 of Darwin's Game and, since Sudo's Sigil seemingly lets him duplicate objects I wonder if he could just make more rings for the scavenger hunt and easily inflate his point score. Probably wouldn't work (I'm guessing his ability could copy the physical ring, but not the gem overlayed on it in the "alternate reality" mode), but it'd be an obvious thing to try.

Holy crap getting sent to kyokuhou for detention is beyond overkill, that's just brutal. I also laughed at how ainz who is regularly misunderstood was able to easily tell that rerugen and tanya are completely misunderstanding each other.

Just finished ep 4 of ID: Invaded this morning. Damn, that scene of Sakaido racing through the burning/exploding buildings to reach Keiko was so hype. The insert song really got my blood pumping. The twist at the end was so cruel though. He finally saves the girl, only to find she'd been already dead for a few days in real life. No wonder Sakaido is so screwed up in the head if this is what he has to go through on every job (especially since he very likely related Keiko to his daughter). Curious to see where the plotline with Hondomachi goes too.

Watched episode 4 of Plunderer this afternoon. It was actually... good? There were comedy scenes that were genuinely funny and not just "oh hey, this male character is a pervert!" (the daikon selling lady chasing after Lynn got a legitimate chuckle out of me), the fight-scene was cool and well-animated, and Jail looks like he'll make a cool rival character to Licht.

Don't get me wrong, it's still got flaws. The annoying pervy humor is still present, though it isn't as bad this time since it doesn't make the male characters act totally unlikable for a cheap joke. The scene with Lynn explaining to Jail what a Ballot Holder is was also a really blatant example of forced exposition, and made no sense in terms of the characters involved. Why would Jail ask Lynn to report information he already knows and should be common knowledge in this setting, and why would Lynn so cheerfully give it even though his soldiers nearly killed her? Totally illogical, and surely there would've been a way to deliver the relevant information in a less clunky fashion.

But if the rest of the show manages to stay at this level of quality I think I'll keep watching, especially since I've heard good things about twists later on.

Funimation are cowards and idiots (seriously, shou've known what they were getting into. They are a professional company. Not some ignorant fansubbers) for dropping the absolute anime of the season. Shame on them

In their defense how were they supposed to know that the studio would animate what was apparently a side drawimg made by the author and not just skip over the sex like the manga did? And as the directors have apparently stated that they plan to go even further, is it really worth keeping it when like half of it will be censored?

Also I plunderer is weird. I struggled to finish the first episode and had a shitton of issues with it, but someone I followed likes one particular character and when I read ahead in the manga for context what I saw was good. Like, really good. So much so that I wasn't even bothered by the fanservice

Basically I'm deliberating how does to go about reading it. Its reminiscent of how I kept dropping Dr. stone until the anime came cause I found the way girl's were drawn so hideous it instinctively made me close my tab.

For other series- Hanako-kun remains lacking in animation but its still nice to watch. A3 is also having animation woahs and the acting is painful but its one of the few joshimeki adaptations I have been unironically enjoying, if for no other reason than the fact that they actually gave the female lead a personality.

Also after attempting to read the manga, I desperately hope they announce a second season of in/spectre when it finishes. Not because I'm excited for what's to come but because I havent lacked the desire to read dialogue since the info dumps in Tokyo ghoul re. Something about the anime makes the way the author writes dialogue so much more bearable.

Not more ridiculous that streaming Tokyo Ghoul S1 (dropped S1 before it finished, so I've no idea how censorship worked in further seasons) or Terraformar's ridiculous censorship, really. And any japanese channel that isn't AT-X would also be airing the same version Funi uses
It just shows a lack of professionalism. How were they suppossed to know? I dunno, maybe realize the show is ecchi and ask the dudes in japan how far it'll go? That's what I meant when I said they're a company and not a fansub group. They should've been able to present to the japanese staff they got the license from the upper limits of what Funi as a company want to host on their site and find out. If the staff ain't making a secret of how far it'll go, I'm sure Funi could've gotten the info easily had they bothered to do some questions

And the translator was having fun with the show, and has expressed frustration because the whole thing was badly handled and just quickly pulling the rug without warning. Dub VAs found out at the same time as the rest of the public. It's just this situation should've been handled better.

There's a difference turning all bloody scenes into negative filter and straight up putting a black screen up that says "use your imagination to enjoy the show".

And it being ecchi is one thing but episode 3 was just straight up softcore porn only missing the penetration, which wasn't even in the manga it was an anime original scene.

Not to say it shouldn't and couldn't have been handled better (the Taiwan streaming service apparently found a way around keeping the uncensored version up via R18 subscription). But criticizing them for not doing their research when said research is arguably way more manageable than what was put on screen feels disingenuous

My point is: A fansub group I can believe would have no reason to expect how lewd it gets (since it goes way farther than even the source, as you've said). But Funi is different, they should be able to know what kind of content will be in the show ahead of time. They negotiated with the japanese to get the license. I can't believe they couldn't know the show's content if they bothered to ask and make sure it's something they want on their site. Hell, the hentai scenes from episode 3 weren't in Funi's release (replaced by "use your imagination"), and again, if the censoring is such a problem., japanese TV stations using the same release Funi is using would also have an issue, but they don¡'t. If japanese channels that aren't AT-X have no problem airing the censored release, Funi should also have no problem

Speaking of fan subs, I guess that we need those, though? Us old guard should be used to it. Funimation is owned by Sony now, isn't it? I can't imagine that it's because the voice actors were uncomfortable with the work, though. Again, probably, the aforementioned Sony connection. That being said, if it is the voice actors, I'll say that I doubt you'd get this kind of problem in Japan, given that some mainstream seiyuu, such as the voices of InuYasha and Fate's Medusa, did straight-up hentai, such as Viper GTS.

The VAs weren't even told anything. They just suddenly found out the same way we've found out. This all looks like some higher up didn't like Funimation as a brand being associated with this show, and he decided to pull the plug fast and suddenly without caring to even inform employees. It's a mess. And unprecedented that a simulcast gets outright stopped before the show is done airing. This show is making it to the pages of simulcasting history as the first time a show's been removed from legal services while it was still airing
