The prince says that the world will be saved by beauty! And I maintain that the reason he has such playful ideas is that he is in love.

Been getting back on my Viking Metal vibe, and while Thyrfing is still my favourite band in that genre, this is one of my favourite songs in it, if not the favourite:
Praise the Lord!
... I think I may have posted this one before.

Andi Deris' songs are quite underrated, in my opinion. And it's interesting how so many of them deal with the subject of faith.
TBH I have always been in the bad habit of thinking of songs in terms of the band rather than the individual writers, so that never occurred to me. What always struck me about this one was how it came after several very melancholy songs, especially "Hey Lord!". This may be wrong, but I always saw those two as counterparts.

usually this thread doesnt load for me, but since on this rare occasion it is,
Wow. Only 7 months to notice your comment and reply to it. That's a personal record for me. :-P Sorry about that, Walnut!
But yeah, "Laudate Dominum" is very dissimilar to most of Deris' religious-themed songs, which tend to be much more questioning in nature (like "Why?" and the aforementioned "Hey Lord", for instance).
