Reforming Avalon would go bad, so says Word of God. I was thinking severing the links individually or finding a means to weaken the anchor through suppression methods. The first method might really be too difficult but the second method I think holds promise. Well, that goes into an argument of what the TSAB is and isn't capable of assuming Shirou does go with them and that's a wash. It's easier to think the Jewel Seed really is that unstable.

In WotNS there will be more info on the TSAB and Kiritsugu. Perhaps its better, for now, to lay this matter to a rest until Hero develops his story further on.

When asked why the Jewel Seed cannont be extracted, Hero said this:

Because it's anchored to Avalon. And Avalon is basically Shirou's body now. If they pull it out, they're basically going to be pulling out Shirou entire Nervous system.

It's the reason that when Nanoha and Fate blasted Shirou, the Jewel Seed didn't come out.

When asked why removing Avalon first wouldn't work, he said this:

*facepalms* Because the Jewel Seed is anchored to it. It doesn't want to leave Shirou's body, but it'll get pulled with Avalon. Which will both make the extraction harder and then make the Jewel Seed react violently.

Basically, The Jewel Seed and Avalon are intertwined- you cannot remove one while the other is there

And in all honestly, don't hold your breathe too long for Arc two. I need to plan out the entire thing. Which means watching As again, researching the Wolkenritter, and German because I love torturing myself like that, as well as writing the last Sound Stage and the bonus Sound Stage for this damn thing.

Though I'll probably hit up Fraggle for some of this info since his story revolves around the Ritters.

Sorry it took so long to reply. Things have been hectic as of late to put it mildly.

But that was an excellent finish to Lyrical Days. Everything just felt... good. Like it slid into place without needing any greasing.

I'm really looking forward to the sequel and wish you much fortune in crafting it. =3
