    the New Gen murders are disgusting and I like that

    I have nothing against him, and by the end he grows on you (much like Kai from R;N), but Okabe is memorable from the get-go and much more interesting as a character and easier to relate to. Maybe it stems from teh fact that despite being a huge chunni, Okabe has friends and interacts with people much easier than Takumi or Kai (at least in the beginning, he really opens up as the show goes on but for those first episodes I really wanted to smack him.)
