Yeah, I know the first four episodes are on Steam. I was just wondering where Sesto would have gotten the last four episodes since, as far as I'm aware, they aren't officially released yet.

I torrented both for the ps3 sprites because the other versions look terrible

As deformed as they might be, they have a charm that the PS3/Vita sprites just don't capture. Plus, weak troll faces.

Honestly the ps3 look really damn good, they're 10/10. I'm not sure why anyone would put themselves through the other crappy versions were they to read it today.

The new ones look cartoonish, and detract from the improved sprite quality. Old ones are lower quality overall, but all the expressions they make look like something that the default sprite would do.

To go into more detail, the former is for something like an amused disbelief, the later is her outright ridiculing Battler. There's not much difference between the newer two.

The old one looks like a goblin attempting to smile for the first time and a goblin high on something. It certainly doesn't look like the "amused disbelief" and "outright ridicule" descriptions you gave them.

Come up with flimsy justifications if you want, but finding the old sprites better is just laughable.

I sort of fucked up the Bernkastel thing because I had definitely thought Maria and George + parents were the culprits. The only issue is since it meant three potential parents could be involved, I wasn't sure which ones. Eventually I said fuck it and choose Battler + his parents. I think I just really wanted Maria to be a murderer this time.

I never really saw the Beatrice reveal coming. I had started to suspect something was up with Kanon since his deaths in the games followed a pattern (similar to Kinzo's, whose secret I totally saw coming), but that was about it. I did realize the truth at the end of chapter six though, before it was fully explained in chapter seven.

The final chapter was a bit iffy. Umineko was always at its best with the logic puzzles; the magic action scenes were always a bit silly to me tbh. I feel like they should have swapped the climaxes of 07 and 08 or something like that. Even moving Bernkastel's game to the very end would have improved the ending, I think.

I did like the boat scene with Battler and Beatrice. And the one with Ange and Battler in the future.

Overall, it was an amazing ride. I honestly wish I could erase my memories and start over again. Even though I have a few issues with certain things, it was definitely an unforgettable experience. Beato is the cutest girl ever.
