I don't like the gore, but I'm mostly turned away by the bleak atmosphere. All of the remotely likable characters got killed off for shock value and then the true ending was pretty miserable.
I do have KnS2, I just can't get myself interested in it enough to actually check it out.
Oh wait, the sister lived. I forgot about her. She was alright and nothing bad happened to her in non bad ends.

I would still suggest you to try and read it because 2 is a much better story than 1. Cartagra also has some tie-ins with 2, but reading that is not worth it.

Recently realized I had never actually read the main story of grisaia 2. Got all hyped up today and sat down to read it.

Haven't actually read a new VN in months so I decided to pick up Dal Segno. Probably not the best choice. Finished my first route of the three I actually intend to read and by the end I was getting irritated by the magic hat crap even though I knew I'd be getting something like that in a Circus VN. Especially with a girl who seems to be based on Kotori.
Well, here's to hoping the chuuni girl got a better route.

Overall it was kind of meh. It really did feel like a rough draft for KnS, since the writer clearly reused some themes in KnS (and implemented them way more effectively).
Kazuna was super cute though. I almost want to replay KnS to see her and Hatsune again.

Oh, that's true. Well, the director is the same, at least. Seems fairly clear they continued with similar ideas in KnS, like the art motif, "two people trying to be the same person" stuff, cult shenanigans, etc.
Well, finished Dal Segno. Skipped Noeri's route because it apparently sucks and I didn't like her anyway. Ame's route fell pretty flat given how blatantly it copied Miharu's route from Da Capo. I have to grudgingly admit that Hazuki probably had the best route even though I found her kind of boring.
The reference to the Da Capo series in general confuse me a little. I get the feeling that it's actually supposed to be a prequel to the original Da Capo or something given that the Amakase institute is run by a middle aged guy. Presumably he's either Miharu's dad or the guy that made Minatsu.
